Aphex uploads a track in whatever quality he encoded it in (mostly 320kbps, sometimes less). For streaming, soundcloud enables a 128kbps stream. If you use the download button you get what he uploaded (including his id3 tags) and when you rip them from the stream you get just the 128kbps stream. Interesting that most of these tracks were encoded 15 years ago with (according to him) inferiour equipment. If he would release these tracks he said he would encode this again so the quality would be even better... even if these tunes were all in early Napster ulta compressed mp3 garbage quality I would eat em up like greasy pancakes on a sunday hangover brunch

The reason why diamonds are so valuable is because their availability in the market is artficially controlled and restrained. In the same way, I think Aphex held back on all these tunes cause it would have been too much and we wouldn't have been able to absorb and appreciate his music (that's sort of happening to me now with all these amazing tunes). As prolific as he is, he also has a great sense/taste for curation and his albums and EPs (even thouh he's often mocked them as a medium) are balanced and cohesive bodies of work. At the same time, any other dude would simply put out a greatest hits or grammy recap collection with "rare unrelease b-sides" or whatever. He opted for this instead....good on ya Rich!

However, the only other irrefutable fact we have is that RDJ literally commented on 2 brainwaltzera tracks, one of which was the not-CCAI one, on which he said "Ace production" (wouldn't he just have been like "quit ripping me off"?) - i imagine AFX has a good pair of ears so the production can't be "all in the box". He even requested a download for the other one. i think the only other person/account whose tracks he's actually commented on is Somadril (correct me if I'm wrong), who we also know is not RDJ btw. The above plus today's legit user account number change (what are the odds of those four numbers in a row?) -not to mention some of those tracks are v. good (especially the older ones)- lead me to think the dude(s)' in on it It's still the same number sequence from the beginning i think user0000008673 used to be just brainwaltzera Once RDJ became user4873635301 (which he switched to user48736353001 months ago by adding the 0),brainwaltzera changed to user0000008673 and stayed that way I'm sure he had that number from the beginning (also i named some of those mp3s user 0000008673 from early on). Regardless i thought RDJ just added those numbers in his account for the first time today?! if that's not the case then my point is refuted doesn't say brainwaltzera anywhere by the way except for the tags and the scloud link

Yeah that's pretty convincing. maybe he's in on it? Still really like a lot of those tunes. Plus RDJ bigged up two tracks on that account today so that's saying something. I'd prefer it if it was a Die Antwood prank...thought I was on to something there :(

i've been banging on this for awhile. Both users use 8673 or 8736. Many song titles of 8673 have acknowledgements to past works. #tags for afx/tom/mike etc... Comments posted about said songs & to other users are Richard-esque. "Fanks/fink". some tracks date to early 90's supposedly. I'm thinking it's his collab work with all the greats in their sparetime over the years. There's a lot of synths/sounds in tracks that allude to this. If not, it's someone who was around at the same time & got skills. Not buying the troll thing. It's not throw away 1/2 ass music. Unless Rich is the troll. this person seems like an afx fanboy who is trying to convince ppl he is afx by copying richard's comment styles and tags etc, posting tracks when he sees that richard is posting. the music sounds like it was made recently, and is largely software, or at least mixed in the box. lots of bitcrusher plugins / modern glitch effect plugins and other stuff that richard quit using 10 years ago. some cool tracks tho. yup definitely sounds more like software, youre right! Disagree...there's plenty of analogue sounds on there and even acoustic ones and the production is deeper than glitch plug-in presets or whatever. that's not what makes me suspicious that it's not RDJ. My issue is that the tracks are very varied....I mean some I feel are no way afx while others maybe...so that has to mean it's not him
