I wish they could give us users more freedom of making custom themes like in Renoise
There's 25k of the buggers here if you want a change - https://www.livethemes.co/browse/all/all/newest/1
And an online editor (though you need to register) if there's not anything there you like - https://www.livethemes.co/editor

I hope they make the migration as convenient as possible. I'm lazy, and not particularly interested in configuring my "studio" setup again.
When I've moved from previous versions (8->9->10->11 over the last however many years it was) all I'd do is run the new install and it'd ask if I wanted to overwrite the previous install or create a second install. Just hit overwrite and .... that was it !
@oscillik - Is the tagging system manual or does it use some kind of sound recognition (or online/downloadable database file) to tag things ? Over the past 10 or so years my VST/i collection has become a little unweildy so it's be great if I could just click on filters like 'synth -> physical modelling', 'compressor->tube', 'distortion->waveshaper' or something like that !

Pete, a much longer recording of that is in the VPRO show. Tried to ID it but no luck!
You bet I tried shazammin' that one (9/9/94 ?) when I came across it Tried to work out if the acoustics in the very first bit of Just a Fucking Idiot are the same as that (i.e. are from the same 'gig') and/or whether the brass player is the same as the one in Far Out Son Of Lung .....
(seemed to remember going down a (dead end) rabbit hole with Dominic Glover (trumpet player and did brass arrangement of Mello Hippo) seeing that he played in the James Taylor Quartet which sounds like the sort of band name that the end bit of An End of Sorts would come from and apparently he studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester in the late 80’s/ early 90’s so could've come across Brian and Garrie back then ... a completely unsubstantiated google session that went nowhere )

For me this contains the OG 'the most mysterious song on the internet' (at 4:36) .... what's the track, who is it by, why did they sneak some live recording from someone in there, why is it snuck into just the limited release ending, why do I even give two shits ?

why the fuck you need 3 engineers to remix for Atmos on a record that's already done?
One to download the flac from pirate bay, another to grab the crack for Halo Upmix, and a third to burn it onto bluray

Out of curiosity I just looked up the Syro limited edition version with the metal casing on discogs
Think it was an acrylic box for Syro, the metal one was Ae's Quaristice

Curious as to how blemp thought 95 quid (+p&p) was an even remotely sensible price.

The official page here. Slightly cheaper:

Bleep now has it with a whopping 50 pence reduction over that site for the CD box set - https://bleep.com/release/101949-orbital-orbital

Not quite sure how any of them are of a sale price. Looks more like Warp has gone: 'here are some things that we are promoting in January that you can buy from us'
-
They've done an Ableton 12 demo set for the new beta released a couple of days ago which normally is created close to release so I'm thinking the full release might be early next month (maybe?!)

If they can make a box set of the boxsets that costs about 20 squids then I'm in

My guess for the Brown album deluxe......
Thinking CD2 might be just the bonus CD with the Aus release i.e.:
2-1 Lush (Euro-Tunnel Disaster '94) 6:48
2-2 Walk About 7:47
2-3 Semi Detached 8:10
2-4 Attached 7:06

however, as they explained more and more what exactly they understood, it became increasingly obvious how little they had actually grasped
I think you're right ..... it seems to fall apart as it goes on !

hour and a half of bitching
Thanks - Wouldn't call it bitching, they do seem to delve deep into it and try and grab positives from it
The logo/art of the GONK needs fixing though .... the vertical dash on the far left needs to be the length of the left of the K

For sure, with the Intro version you can have up to 16 simultaneous tracks with 16 scenes.... For starting off that limit is more than capable at putting together a full track or mix
Here's a comparison between the Intro, Standard and Suite releases - https://www.ableton.com/en/live/compare-editions/
