Was going to lament the lack of a Windows build (been eying that collection up for over a decade) but .... eeeeeeekkk seems like we're finally gonna get something 🤩:

I am currently porting SoundMagic Spectral to the JUCE framework, which will allow for SoundMagic to run as a VST, AAX and for both Macs and PCs as well. I have already got Spectral Blurring working, so now I just need time to do the other 22 plugs! Your donation to ongoing development will make this faster, and encourage further development. Also, btw..... can we cut out this hate speech against the DJ Shadow community in general? Cause..... idk, apparently..... apparently nowadays, we are only apart of groups and communities nowadays, none of us care about individuals no more... it's sad, apparently nowadays.....

Apologies, could only post with images until I found the fix just now ( https://forum.watmm.com/topic/96926-forum-discussionissues/page/82/#comment-2956147 ) and that was the closest I could express my feelings for the burn I'm still feelings from spending Im-not-sure-how-much-but-definitely-too-much on that limited 3 Freaks 12'' with 3 variations of that same horrible song repeated on each side of the vinyl !

  3. I've got it I've got it I've got it - It's the themes : @Joyrex 'WATMM after dark' (the one I use) and 'WATMM Muted (Dark)' appear to need updating to work on this version of the forum software. Switching to another (right at the bottom of the page) other than those two and you can type 🙂

The sleeve on my vinyl is shit too,

Woah really, I thought it was meant to be that fancy pants foldout thing and why it cost mega-bucks for just 14 minutes of digital vinals?

  5. I don't think any of us are saying it's necessarily a bad thing, just that it's not something worthy of  'losing/loosing our shit' about and don't really see it as 'brutal af'.

I dunno, I have to say it didn't blow me away as much as I thought it would  ... the end result felt a bit too close to those X-Mix videos from the 90s or some clever foobar visualizer. Don't know if I'm alone with this,

Yeah definitely reminded me of Winamp type visualisations too, that or those 4/8/64 kilobyte demoscene thingamies:

  7. Yeah I'm wondering if it got mastered onto [cassette maybe?] tape for full on old-skool sound vibes ? Or recorded deliberately 'hot' for the end crunch and hiss

  8. Is it my ears/headphones going wonky or is there some clipping/saturation near the end of the title track (from around 3:50 till around 4:20 - more noticeable on the 'Aphex Mastered' version (track 5)) ? Perhaps it's just resonating with my headphone .... whateveryoucallit ... speakers ?

  9. Even though this thread has existed for 6 years, every time it's bumped to the top (and so appears in the headline section of General) I keep thinking it's news about a third volume of this coming out:

    Blamp pls xxx

p.s Absolutely wild to see the progress of ai image generation contained within this thread. This is where we were back in page 2:
