  1. That's what I use too. It's chuffing brills (and cheap !)
  2. I dunno I think that sounds very Focus Group esque ... Thanks for the heads up on the compilation though, some cracking tracks on there
  3. Mr.McKenzie told me off for making this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuEKoFC9ELk
  4. I don't like breakcore so album wise it's pretty easy for me - Rossz Csillag followed by My Downfall
  5. Didn't he also burn his bridges with [i think] Phonometrography by putting out an advert urging people not to buy from them as they released his stuff in sub-quality packaging. It was a while ago so my memory may be a little off...
  6. He's got Hepatitis B apparently (I say apparently as you cant never truly believe the true king of misinformation !). I have the Exactly As I Am/Say/Do trilogy (including that version that came in a big box with salmon skin), A Thirsty Fish, Mastery of Money, Kill The King, A Pressed on Sandwich, Intoutof, Bang An Open letter, and the two collaborations with Autechre. And yet (and yet), I still have no idea whether I like The Hafler Trio or not
  7. Actually I'm really surprised they haven't done any vinyl releases of their stuff. It seems the perfect medium for it, or even tape (hell I'm shocked they haven't gone the whole hog and released their catalogue on eight-track) My favourite GB releases are The Advisory Circle - Other Channels and Belbury Poly - The Willows.
  8. It was the book that I read, it's unusual as it sounded like something I'd really like but, well I didn't
  9. Unfortunately it is. I found in a real struggle to get through (especially as I've only read like 10 books in my life) - they trundle about a bit and get hungry, find some place with food then trundle about a bit more (rinse, repeat)
  10. It's the most liquid album I've ever heard. It's like trawling through some underground sewage system in the future. but in a good way.
  11. i dunno, do you ? EDIT: Shit ... I think I know what you mean (are you thinking WHOIS ?!). That's a bit of a blunder right there ....
  12. Unfortunately that means downloading iTunes, and I ain't doin' that for no-one ! I'm just crossing my fingers that this URL will work in a couple of days when they put up this week's podcast: http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/6music...90509-1621a.mp3
  13. third'ed. I flipping missed it last week due to lack of internezzles, I even got someone to email me the URL of the episode for my return as the BBC used to archive the last four weeks but it looks like they stop doing that now....
  14. I've had these for about 6 months now. They're chuffing brilliant.
  15. don't be a fucking cheapskate thx this track is ace by the way.
  16. I spies WATMM.... plus someone needs to clean their desk up a tad.
  17. Awesome news, should be ace
  18. These 7 pages of posts make me somewhat angry.
  19. How many pages is this thread going to explode to. And how many times will the word 'fake' be thrown around. Tune is this time next week for more adventures of 'New Autchre Album Thread'
  20. What the heck ?! That's both mental and incredible. I have no idea how that's done. Can't get the lady spinny woman to go anti-clockwise.

If you wanna hear it, then I think it be up to listen to on Bleep.com
  22. Yeah, ditto man. I find a similar reaction for me with the Cicli Suite EP as well (I've never even picked it up, it's the only [readily available] Ae release I don't own) the tracks just seem overlong and kinda irritating almost.
  23. I kinda like the rhythm shift at around 4:00 with the hip-hoppish kinda vibe, but I'm not really a fan of the track. My favourite Ae track of all time is Arch Carrier (LP5), but I think I'm the only one on here that thinks that. Just amazing chord progression and then when the orchestra-string like synth fades in it's just pure sex, fantastic stuff.
  24. It's really strange. I've found this the ONLY autechre album or EP that I really can't get into. I love the track Tewe, but I find all the other tracks either kinda irritating, over-repetitive or unpleasantly atonal (and usually I appreciate Ae's atonal style tracks). It's strange as I know loads of people see this album as their favourite but apart from Tewe I really don't like it.
