i turn your statement around. I saw an artist last week and was deeply impressed by his live show and now his last LP is my fav. of the year so far, before that i couldn't really get into it. so i suppose this can happen the other way too i enjoyed GOD and the live show I went to was excellent. Enjoyed the new album too, but live it was very lacklustre (maybe it has to do with the setting since it was at a open air festival?). It was all quiet and tame like a bon iver show. But Jlin played at the same stage the day before and she absolutely destroyed it Plus the sight of the keyboardist playing with her hair every 30 seconds and taking crowd pictures with her phone during the songs made it even worse Sorry opn I <3 u

Anyone else went to see him at Primavera? And was the myriad show in NYC really good? Or is it just me? Massive letdown still...

this happened for me with GoD!! The show was terrible. What was wrong this time? The recording at the Armory was A++ Also, I'm sorry that happened! Disappointing for sure I went to his GOD show and it was excellent with Nate Boyce. And it was piercingly loud This one... Ugh Why was it so bad? Probably because I've been listening to it every day for the whole week before and had huge expectation imho it was like going to an amateur bon iver cover band

Just got back from his show at Primavera. Kind of ruined everything for me. No more live band please Gonna take a few months to recover then I'll listen to that album again on headphones

He's playing at the moment in Marseille. Just a shiny mannequin with a korg synth and some visuals but the guy is nowhere to be seen. What the fuck? Decent set though

was hoping for him to play this when I saw him in London last year. he played mostly GOD songs and music for steamed rocks... nothing else. He played in London last month too but not sure if this was played... -
