  1. The promotion for the EP is more intriguing than the music itself.

    "at the end of which you're uncertain whether music has changed or you have" he put it in good words, that's what this whole release is about.

    elseq --> eleven + sequor "I follow" --> I follow eleven = 12

    I agree with curvcaten being the worst track, i think the lead synth is my least favorite of all sounds on the whole release, sounds like a cheap Massive synth.

    "spaces how V" might be my favorite track of theirs to date.

    curvcaten sounds like it uses Massive, like at that section at 5:00 or so.

    Nagano is really good. Has the most consistent mood of all the sets and progresses brilliantly. Not as mindblowing as some of the others, but it's a wonderful, effortless listen each time.

    the part at 10:40-14:20 on Grafenhainichen is the only set where they do it right. Proper balance between being accessible and mangled/experimental.
  9. 2013 I was first getting into good electronic music. I digged "Eutow" but thought Tri Repetae was unlistenable garbage haha. 2014 I really got into Incunabula, didn't think Autechre could get any better than that. Then, early this year, everything they made totally clicked; the next album from them I had listened to was Chiastic Slide (recommended by Scaruffi) and I loved it instantly. There are very few days this year where I haven't listened to Autechre. I still find Tri Repetae one of their less enjoyable releases, but still like it a lot nonetheless. Undoubtedly my favorite artist.

    I'm a huge sucker for the section that starts at 12:42 in Graf (and whatever it is in the other sets). I think it's a bit cleaner and more realized in the 2015 sets. Beautiful stuff.

    Oh hey, first time in 14 years an Autechre album made it in the top 100 albums on Rate Your Music.

    I've actually tripped to one of these sets too (Brussels). Hopefully my friends will be down to trip to a soundboard this weekend, they really don't know what they're missing out on!

    What's everyone's favorite set? I still have yet to listen to Dublin, but I so far really dig what I've heard. Don't have a favorite of the three yet, but Krakow is my least favorite. Brussels and Utrecht are a bit darker and more fleshed out imo.
  15. 1. Exai <<<<<<<<<<---- 2. Chiastic Slide <<<---- 3. Confield <<<----------- Contenders for some of the greatest electronic albums of all time. I think these all have been my #1 Autechre album at some point. 4. Untilted <<<----------- 5. Oversteps <<<--- 6. Draft 7.30 <<<--- 7. LP5 <<<----------- Excellent albums 8. Amber <<<------- 9. Quaristice <<<-- 10. Incunabula <<<-- I still love these 11. Tri Repetae <<--- Great, but never got into it much.
  16. Oh yeah. After listening to it a lot and getting my head around all these melodies, it's so beautiful--kind of like reading a writing that makes no sense when you read it a few times, and eventually it clicks. The polyphony and buzzy yet lush sound design makes it all the more interesting.
