  1. the 21 hungarian track from Brahms are out of this world the number 4 is such a classic melody. this version in particular. apparently, different tuning truly change the speed and tempo as to make it really different. I find the melodies classic, but i dunno its so beautiful. it feels a bit like kids music. cant quite put it into words. the part that start at 1:47 sec is shocking. its just too good. I cant believe all my life i missed those type of great tracks. and many more hungarian tracks are incredible like this:
  2. bad is a understatement at this points HEcker is done and even this supposed peak is one of the most overated ambient album of all time Hecker is for hipsters
  3. wathever floats your boat this is torture for me when i think violent electronica, psytrance comes to mind
  4. ive been listening to The Smith recently very good stuff
  5. the second half with the piano is beyond
  6. Fact: Doctrine is the best AE track even when you combine Amber and Incunabula. anyone else feels that way?
  7. this is 1993. one of my fav album from 1993! as a big fan of Dinosaur Jr, Without a sound is one of their best album. heres two highlitght
  8. indeed, the rise of electronica happened circa 1994. along the pure trash of MSM music meant to destroy the soul of music. Some will say it was due to the rise of the videoclip. im not so sure it happened organically. Radio stations started featuring pure crap like bakstreetboys and Britney spears. Some will say 1994 was the beginning of the end, others will say its the beginning of the good music. Both camps have solid arguments. but who's right?
  9. Litszt is quickly becoming one of my favorite pianist composer.
  10. https://www.twgeema.com/best-electronic-albums-of-1994 thats already a decent start list
  11. same could be said about incunabula... I dont know why but I find incunabula so much more appealing vs the over polished Amber. I feel like Incunabula has the grit, the aphex aggressivness. Already Amber loses a part of what makes AE early era so unique (most importanly for the time period) but ill give myself a few weeks to acclimate to Amber
  12. Im surprised just how divided the answers are. I was certain Amber would be the clear favorite! the last minute of Doctrine might be some of the best AE work ive heard so far (note: I was never a fan of autechre and its just recently ive warmed to incunabula) If I have to pick one track from their 2 first album, Doctrine is my pick. whats yours...
  13. how do we input a poll? So yeah, which one do you guys prefer
  14. Korn was 1994? men, im getting old remember listening to this circa 1997. yeah, 1994 its arguably the year when it all started to explode. some could argue its 1993 or 1995. but those years are very formative and still affect the music scene today
  15. Allright, its been almost a month Ive stayed in 1983 and below. Time to go back to the 90's and explore the eyar where everything came together: 1994
  16. im listening to the 21 hungarian dances by Brahm the dance no 10 is a stand out. pure insanity. the change of tempo at around 35 sec starts the pure insanity. so evocative, imaginative, easy to understand. pure trip
  17. i have been obsessed with this composition
  18. Kate bush fascinating its a bold statement, but shes the most talented signer of all time imo, male and female or maybe, im just way too attracted to be objective
  19. this is not remotely good this sounds like a bad 2001 track for a EA sports
