  1. Some of them, yeah. I've always found there to be twice as much filler surrounding the highlights though.
  2. Yes, this guy: Everything made in PD afaik. The advantage of using a programming environment in this case is that you can create your own set of rules and parameters and have the composition live and breathe on its own, which I guess is what makes it algorithmic. The disadvantage is you kinda have to engineer your own tools from scratch (in most cases) but then that's part of the fun as well.
  3. Oh man, RIP ? I myself cannot think of any artist or band more influential to modern music than Kraftwerk.
  4. Really nice. I like how the track progresses and the drums at the beginning are on point. I also gave your EP a listen. Ambient is one of those things I have to be in the mood for but enjoyed it nevertheless.
  5. Just discovered this guy through Twitter. Richard Devine seems to be a fan as well as quite a few of the Algorave people. Anyway, it SLAPS. https://akeyamasou.bandcamp.com/album/short-day https://akeyamasou.bandcamp.com/album/long-day
  6. I'm not necessarily even talking about piracy. The BitTorrent platform already allows you to legitimately sell files I believe, so that could be one way if enough artists/labels get involved. Thom Yorke already tried it out some years ago. I have no clue how big SLSK actually is but I can tell you you can find pretty much anything on there in lossless quality + artwork, etc. if you're willing to dig a little bit. That would be another way, even as a last resort.
  7. P2P/decentralisation seems to be the answer, no? Why rely on a single node to host the files when we can all collectively own them ourselves? We have access to more music on slsk than any other server based platform possible.
  8. I've been humming this thing all week and can't for the life of me find it again. It sounds really obvious but still can't figure it out. Might be Aphex or some other copy cat on Soundcloud, who knows?. I've tried my best to replicate the melody, it's a bit off but hopefully the rhythm of the notes is more helpful. Here it is: https://clyp.it/sn4vcyj2
  9. I agree that we're essentially nobodies as long as we're not involved in any suspicious activities but the question is whether corporations/governments should have this power over us in the first place. Maybe we won't suffer from any consequences but there are people that do. Maybe it's right to fight for them at least. I don't know what to do tbh.
  10. Internet privacy vs convenience. What are your thoughts?

  13. I think it's deliberate but the acid line switches when the drums come in.
