i'm not sure to understand that lesbian thing but formant potaton & rock the trojan fader were great.

what i think could be upgraded on their site is the 320kb for the new releases. Mental Onion (WAV) sounds way better than Boom Blaster (MP3). Anyway, big love for rephlex.com

people saying ******* is dead, hidden behind their computer screen, is one of the reason i hate the internet. wasted forums too.

the king of braindance is gone but not forgotten i've listened to Cylobotnia, this weekend : not an easy one but a great one.
-
yeah weird. i have (almost) all his records but where is cylob ?

so far, i didnt bought the boom blaster one coz its on mp3 while mental union is WAV (& much cheaper - ?), i hope the boom blaster will be released on cd. as a rephlex fan for more than 10 years, it's quite a surprise. Before internet you had to order the records via shops (long delays), then it got easier via warpmart, amazon etc, but still between the anouncement of a release you had to wait for 6months or so. now, BANG, AFX outtakes, D'arcangelo, Ovuca, etc + loads of early releases, coming out of nowhere. i'm more into LPs & CDs but i'm really glad they made the digital jump. Also, i think rephlex respect the buyer coz their digi release costs LESS than the physical one. if you buy a whole WAV album on juno, beatport its almost the price of the cd, without physical, artwork etc. respect 4 that. yeah Mental Union is absolutely fabulous : i'm not (re) buying the analord because i need to diggest this treasure first.

yeah, totally. big fan since 1999 but this latest one is fabulous.

paper planes is a great track !

that's really my favorite autechre release. what i like with confield is this mix of insane complex beats & the soft & even warm mood it has. its truly atmospheric behind the chaos of rythms. it has this impressionist & blury feeling. pretty delicate also, you can really hear its a digital record, made with computer with all those details. i dont think it could have been done in the early 90s. i would like to know if the uviol (long version) is the original one, before editing or if its the other way round ? uviol really sounds like a generative recording (see the max patch via GBIII) rolling with different variations here & then. anyway, confield has aged pretty well. i wish warp would make a bonus cd with leftover material from that area. on a related note, with similar tracks & sound, the Vancouver bootleg is fantastic, the 3 last track are perfect. is there a flac version if it somewhere (only got my mp3 version) ?

honestly i only care about the music (see Prince). I'm a big fan of the recent Hafler Trio releases.

yeah brownout is a nice electro/abstract record. its a bit like oval : since 2001 both entity havent release any full lenght. maybe mr GBIII should contact them & release some phoenecia trx on the recordlabelrecords? or at least, they could make a download release only?? we should encourage them to do so on their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/schemaland

is this out yet? yep. i thought i was the strongest autechre fan in the universe (collecting remixes, live sets, rare trx) but i realised this morning i didnt listened to any bits from quaristice yet!! no preview, no bleep MP3, no leak : nada! that's weird, like i'm losing it.. i only listened to my quaritsice metal box (starting with the special version by mistake) this very morning!! dunno if you saw it but quaristice got a terrible review from Q magazine (not a surprise but still funny to find out shed seven has better critics than Ae).

releasing the glasgow set is a wicked idea, i've been listening to it for 2 years & this recording deserve maximum audio quality (CD 2 make it short). but selling it as a 2CD set for 60$ would be insane. i mean, "do you know squarepusher" has a bonus cd too & "hello everything" has some bonus trax (ep + mini cd) & they were sold at totally decent prices. & from what i've understood selling special edition with complex artwork / heavy shipping doesnt imply making more money. like i trust aphex when he said rephlex made less money with the binder than with other regular ep.. well no one knows what's on this bonus cd & still didnt hear this quaristice record yet!!

so i might be the last idiot 2 wait for march 2 hear the album? i could dl fromP2P but waiting/searching 4 it bores me 2 death... i'm pretty curious about those beatless tunes!

I have their entire back catalogue, so they've earned plenty from me. i should try this at my local restaurant: now give me some free meals!!

hmm... sorry i dont really believe in the ' leak / download from p2p / will buy if i like ' my little finger tells me that most people here will get it frop soulseek & that's it. that's too bad coz autechre always sound crap on mp3 but...

The cover looks like it was done in MS Paint in 2 minutes. simplicity is not a bad thing hey GhostbusterIII: i just got the latest gescom & dont you think the mad beats/cut up/unpredictible breaks of those remixes sounds a bit like some of Mr oizo stuff?
-
not that it really matters but i quite like that cover art. most of DR artwork is really good. i used to look at the gatecrasher compilation in shops just because they looks ace. & the fact tDR looks pretty 90's makes it even better. i heard they were incredibly expensive, even for a simple logo they cost a arm & a leg. there is also that takeshi muto's record on schematic that i dont really like, but the cover art is really wicked.
-
honnestly i dont think many records sells very well today. well, ae will hardly beats robin williams but just look at the recent limited releases by indie labels & you'll got a clue about recent poor sales.
-
its weird, i'm a complete autechre fan but i didnt even hear the latest gescom record... what's happening to me? in autechre mode, i'm like 6 month late. got to buy that A1D1 cd. anyway i'm sure quaristice will be great. autechre never disapointed me.

dunno who wrote/read the words, it was an original/scientific/creative way of promoting the 2006 lp
