Are they approachable for SIGNing? Ive never managed to find them after gigs or was too anxious to go deep(er) into backstage. ?

also, i never knew what would i say actually bc i have so much to say ?

I hope I never meet them. It would be an embarrassing mess, like Adam & Joe talking about how they couldn't interview Bowie.

  2. It seems to me that stuff like that, and say Eli Keszler's album couldn't exist without the angular vocabulary that Autechre pioneered. I might be wrong in that assertion (though it seems unlikely that these people would have never heard Autechre), but I love that there are more people incorporating these kinds of counterintuitive rhythms and shapes into instrumental music.

My spidey senses are tingling on this one .... I'd be wary of anyone spending money on this place (I don't mean bandcamp in general!). Can't see why Warp would whack stuff on a third party place when they have a digital store already - remember when that Skam shop appeared on Bandcamp briefly .....

Dunno, Hudmo and Lorenzo Senni have Bandcamps too, probably just Warp chasing revenue streams/visibility.

Completely unconfirmed and pulled out of my ass: with full-length music video by Chris Cunningham featuring Rob and Sean in a Midsommar setting

Better in Midsummer setting. With Bergerac in full effect.

  5. Thanks Beerwolf for pointing out this on Bleep.

I panic bought it on the webstore on CD, couldn't believe I could be so late to the party that it sold out already on vinyl.

Then ordered vinyl on Bleep...o well, CD is the best source I have anyway, think I'll have both.

Dublin is the best of the batch for me. It just goes. And that ending bit is just perfection. If they are already working on the new live stuff to come after their new album, I can’t imagine how bizarre it’s going to be. I still want the 1 hour tt1pd assault.

Think Sean said live stuff was more or less done, just needs an intro on mixlr chat.

Yes, it's quite abstract and subtle for live stuff, but I like it.

    I will do this.

Yeah man deep listening is Def rewarded here, there's so much going on across the stereo field. Go out for an evening walk with a decent pair of headphones.

I'm cursing my brother in law for sharing some utterly fucking dunderheaded shit on FB that I caught just before I went out to walk the dog yesterday. All the way distracted myself by thinking about all the pointless comments I could make but won't, instead of giving Dublin and the crazy twisted old chestnut trees on the walk the undivided attention they deserve.

  9. I have been mostly listening to Melbourne so far, mainly out on walks at dusk. A couple of standouts for me:

Around 21:40 this harsh chord comes in, then proceeds to splinter off for like the next minute or so.

The Column Thirteen bit is Lush.

Also notably there is very little in the set that sounds anything close to what anyone would think of as a traditional snare sound. Even in the higher energy parts, fairly drums free at least relative to other sets I listened to yet.

    Shin piss.

So... searching that phrase on google lead me to the below video.  It's not porn... but possibly worse?

That tape delay at the start tho. Lovely.

Yeah not to be negative but I thought something from their 700hours of music making last year maybe would result in an album this year?

Not live-sets  from 3-4 years ago.

Dunno about you, but I've been waiting 3-4 years for those live sets from 3-4 years ago, so not too fussed.

Nijmegen is a pretty idm city name.  I like to think they chose to play there over, say, Amsterdam for that reason.  Come to think of it, most of the names of where they played on this release have cool looking names.

    Also, welcome!

    Oslo for N?

Both of them, him and Russell, were fakn great! Batteries in my field recorder were low so i had power only to record ae. I managed to record only few minutes of maddocks but i had to turn the recorder off for later ?
My gf preferred Haswell to ae! Go figure!

Were you the source of the recording xox? Big thanks to you.

was there too. the first half of the show, the "beatless" part, i find to be one of the most hip hop moments of ae. hidden beats and rhythms all over that drove me crazy as i was listening.
curious to see if i was imagining stuff (had a few whiskys before the show)...

Yo fuck you all, I had a ticket but couldn't go.

Fffff, if these guys set their minds to it, they'll release hundreds of hours of sessions, given their productivity in recent history. Need to set some money aside to instabuy their bleepstore collections. This gonna be years worth of listening material....

^agreed, that's a good track. wasn't expecting the rapping but it worked surprisingly well

I'm sure the bros talked about Sensational in an interview at some point or another too. So another link there. He also did an album with Kouhei Matsunaga.
