  1. Was happy to see this thread pop up as I'm on a Paradinas kick currently and never gave this one enough listens. KTHX
  2. Condolences. Do you mind if I ask how Korg passed away? We just lost Antonio and are absolutely gutted. We think he had a heart attack. From what we can tell he was sitting on top of his favorite chair, fell off (we heard a loud thud), meowed like crazy and I watched him take it his last breaths as I looked him in the eye. I miss you so much Antonio - you really were my best friend. Nine years old.
  3. Man. I haven't seen that in years. I just watched the scene on YouTube. What BOC track(s) would you lay over this?
  4. Yes. Sorry to say I haven't seen any of these and get all teh vibes.
  5. What a goodie this is and the footage is perfect. I always start laughing when the folks in the audience start chatting. Has there been a thread about that? WHAT ARE THEY GOING ON ABOUT
  6. Yep, one of these posts. I discovered this book (and its accompanying LP!) through diving deep into Venezuelan electronic and proggy type music over the years. I've yet to see the actual documentary, but hope to some day. The book and documentary journal a hot air ballon journey in and around Venezuela. I've always gotten major BOC vibes from the book - it's just fun to look at and dream. Here's a link to the soundtrack. I uploaded some sips to YouTube awhile back - the music, composed by Randy Walters, does not remind me of BOC. https://www.discogs.com/release/11264412-Randy-Walters-Desde-El-Mar-De-Las-Alturas About the score: "Vencerámica promotion/sponsorship. A compilation of selections from several scores for films on hot-air ballooning in Venezuela, broadcast on the National Geographic Explorer program on the Discovery Channel. The primary instruments are a massive Oberheim 8-voice modular polyphonic synthesizer, mated with an Arp 2600 synth. Other instruments include a Hammond C3 organ, Hohner D6 Clavinet, and one of the earliest digital synthesizers: an Alpha Syntauri that ran on an early Apple II Plus computer with Mountain Computer audio hardware." Curious if anyone has anything else to share. I really don't want to take this to Twoism, but I will if I have to - my coat is ready.
  7. I used to see this record at Goodwill stores on the reg. - couldn't be assed to grab it though. Plenty of other record boners out there. PS. Thanks for the hi-res imagery! :~)
  8. Currently and prolly always: And always: You Could Feel the Sky / Macquarie Ridge (back to back, fam! love the vocals in each - just lovely and reminds me of my time briefly working in Antarctica).
  9. Our big buddy Dimlite / Dim Grimm / Hugo Sonia / Misel Quitno / The Slapped Eyeballers with a mix for autumn/notherners including a nice unreleased 2022 track: https://www.dimgrimm.com/autumn-mix/ (00:00:00) Dim Grimm: 20 Autumns ago (2022, unreleased) (00:02:04) Dim Grimm: Reality dances for you (2020, Perlissop III EP) (00:06:57) Dim Grimm: Sessiv (2019, Gamut Sap LP) (00:10:16) Dim Grimm: Tribolium (2019, Gamut Sap | Oh, ands LP) (00:13:44) Dimitri Grimm: Inytsia (2014, Looms.site) (00:17:18) Dimlite: José’s Views (2007, Dublab Echo Expansion EP) (00:20:44) Dimlite: Cosmic Echoes in the Mockery Room (2006, This is Embracing LP) (00:23:57) Dimlite: Quiz Tears (Instrumental) (2007, single) (00:27:20) Dim Grimm: Ronrol II (2017, Perlissop II EP) (00:32:06) TSE: Redä, het sie g’seyt (2006, Sloppy Future Manipulations EP) (00:35:33) Hugo Sonia: Disposition (2013, Simulations Vol. 1 EP)
  10. A very reliable Twoism source told me that the next BOC album will include Macquarie Ridge as a bonus track for Japan since the TH Japanese edition didn't come with a bonus track. They are a source I depend on.
  11. I do in fact! I used to have a copy and a bunch other Czech jazz rock LPs (stuff like Energit, Modrý Efekt & Radim Hladík, Pavol Hammel, Marián Varge, Radim Hladík – Na II. Programe Sna, etc.) but sold many of them because needed monies for expensive Autechre LPs PLUS jazz-rock isn't my main genre anyway. Can't have it all. Don't want to derail this thread too much though!
