  1. The CIRCLONT tracks and Earth Portal are my favorites at the moment, but I have to admit that XMAS_EVET10 and Minipops aren't there just because I'm too familiar with them.

Syro and 4 bit the ones still surprise me at every listen.

Produk 29 I understand could sound weird, but man that super dissociating progression in the middle at that slow tempo is massive!!

180db on DEEJAY SELEK agree (but with more intro kicks to make it useful)

I've just finished listening to Syro on vinyl. So good. Yes, it's end E2 is a brilliant track. It came out while I was on holiday in Italy and I played it so much at that time. Now when I hear it I always think of that holiday.

Great album with or without it.

Hello, I'm Italian, just curious about which area of Italy you were at the time 🙂

Does anyone know if there are any forums that discuss the intricacies of making drone music, or maybe a comprehensive Drone compendium beyond the basic La Monte Young et al wikipedia entries?

Wanted to create one myself... But I've only been able to create this thread ahah

Just bought tickets for the Milano show at Terraforma !!

    Feel hyped x10000 !

i will drive to Milano from Lyon, France. Tickets are 50€, so at less I don’t feel badly assaulted by the ticket fare.
hmu if u r interested to join aboard

i Hope it will be a pitch black show, this villa has big interiors made to be deformed by rob and sean artistic skills and oblique sounds.

    in the meantime...
I'm waiting in the hope that terraforma will put out the one day only tickets, with the fear that this option will never appear and even the 3-days-ticket (150-fucking-euros) will run out. This, looking with sovereign resignation at Barbican and Helsinki M.C. pics. Lucky you northern people.

I've always found Terraforma lovely. Very Milan-ish, but unique. A 3 day festival where you can find high level artist playing under the sky in the middle of the trees. In electronic music that's kinda rare! Autechre in total black under the stars, wow! Also, DJs always take that chance for playing more eclectic sets and the lineup is usually good...
I remember Vladimir Ivkovic playing a 3-hours set of slow IDM at 2PM. For me, unforgettable

Anyway, I totally understand your point. Where you from?

  7. I've just discovered that during last year many afx live footage have been uploaded. Not sure if unpublished before, some of you maybe can confirm

Not that easy to find through research, discovered via recommended videos...

Such as this 2001 vinyl set in Dublin fucking awesome:

Syro u473t8+e is one of his best.

Funnily enough it was my least favorite on the album when it came out. Found it weird and awkward. Now its in my top 10. Never understimate the weird trx.

    SAME HERE!

I'll never understand this weird fascination with windowlicker that puts it above more interesting tracks like minipops for so many people. Seems to me like windowlicker is just more pop and accessible and has a wild music video and thats why it gets more popularity. It doesnt come close to stuff like circlont 6A in terms of emotion and how the track evolves. Maybe I've just taken the bait though with this post, but I do know that lots of fans rank it as one of their favourites.

Totally agree!! Even compared with Formula, tracks like circlont6a appear to me as more deeply emotional and complex (composition, mix, groove...)
