    I find it ridiculous that Jaywalking/crossing the road is a crime. Have people not got used to cars being on the road yet?

     

    It's funny going to other countries where they take these things seriously, remember getting dirty looks in Amsterdam when crossing the road, same in Germany. Not even sure if they have jaywalking laws there, or do they just really enjoying following rules (you see everyone standing at traffic lights even when there's zero traffic, weird).

     

     

    Here in Norway we have the optimal solution.

     

    The red light on a pedestrian traffic signal means that the cars have right of way. This only makes it illegal to cross if you are hindering traffic.

    i think we're at a point in gaming where graphics aren't super important. smart design, good gameplay, good world/level design tied into good gameplay + smart design, etc etc etc. is the important stuff.. shiny nice graphics is a bonus but not essential. game graphics have looked good since ~end of ps2 era any how. to my eyes anyway. good design > good graphics.

     

    That point was reached long ago. There have alwasy been good games with bad graphics. Not to mention the other way around.

     

    There's also the fact that good art direction can make up for bad graphics, but usually not the other way around. A super high resolution turd is still a turd.

     

    Anyways, I'm playing Pixel Dungeon. I don't have time to get immersed in games as much as I used to and I seem to die very quickly in this, so that helps.

    Can anyone recommend any current or recent deep house artists/labels doing non techy/digital sounding (or atleast not super techy) stuff? ive heard stuff from the label pure, and it's pretty blissful and smooth as far as production but in general i still havent been able to find releases that match the energy, soulfulness & vibrancy of stuff from the early to mid/mid-late 2000's (like hed kandi beach house/miguel migs/mark farina type stuff... that sunshiny stuff.. so much of the new stuff is either purposely 80s/electro sounding or dark, melancholic, synthetic, and kind of introspective feeling if you know what i mean?

     

    im also looking for fresh 4 to the floor house, just good funky/soulful/uplifting house - in the vein of eric prydz, cabin crew, modjo etc

    .. maybe even progressive 2000's ibiza stuff like deep dish, watkins.. or the more recent daddys groove & little mark track ...

     

    anyone putting out stuff like this anymore? or am i straight up living in the past? :/

     

    Maybe Bicep or something? Dunno, not really my forté. I tend to go for the techy and melancholy sounding stuff :wink:

    I don't really have as much time to play PC games as I'd like to anymore, but I've been passing time with the delightful FTL. This really hits all the right buttons with me. It's pretty tough to actually beat but I refuse to play it on easy nonetheless. Every game goes a bit better and I don't really mind dying a lot since every playthrough I seem to discover something new and do a tiny bit better.
