  3. or you succeeded in making one extremely fucking good 16 bar loop lol I'd rather take acid and take the speed next day and make tracks inspired by that acid trip. I imagine fiddling with the computer is difficult on acid, also your perception is probably too warped to make a good track. Could be fun twisting knobs and hearing sounds tho That's a good idea, it would be much simpler than this. And you're right about acid making it hard to fiddle with the computer, I tried it once and got fuck all done lol. So frustrating. I assume that speed would counteract that though, so you have stupidly good focus + productivity and you have the acid giving you cool ideas. I literally made a track once when I had amphetamine psychosis and, even though I had no clue what I was doing, it ended up sounding amazing. In my experience, having warped perception, being overwhelmed by emotion, going purely off instinct instead of knowing what you're doing, etc. always results in better music. It means you put less conscious thought into the construction of the track, so it comes straight from your soul and usually ends up being more experimental. "Over thinking, over analysing, separates the body from the mind". That's why a lot of people find it easier to make music stoned I think
  4. Literally everyone smokes weed and if they say they don't they're lying Except me that is
  5. Acid > weed > MDMA > speed > shrooms (only tried it once, very low dose) > coke > alcohol Damn, typing out that list wants me to try mixing acid and speed. That combo would be great for making music. Acid on its own is too distracting to sit down and make music but it makes me really creative, and speed is like "okay let's make some tracks" then 6 hours later you close Ableton and have 10 new tracks on your harddrive, better than anything you've done before lol.
  6. Absolutely! Even I don't know what I'll be making a year from now!
  7. This album is great! The tracks progress really nicely, the mixing is spot on (very nice synth tones and everything sits in just the right place). The sequencing is very tight and precise too, intricate stuff. I'm getting some Syro and Drukqs vibes from these tracks but there is a lot of cool unique stuff here too! And there are plenty of filthy breakbeats and basslines which is always a good thing lol. Very enjoyable album, it slaps in da whip big time!
  8. Yeah I've got that insider info! Hope that was publicly available information and I didn't just dox you Andrew lol. And I never thought somebody so swole would come across my music, let me know if it helps you do more reps!
  9. Thanks Andrew, your review of my first album was great! I hope you like this one too, there are a few tracks which are a bit like espers on here. Be sure to let me know what you think of it!
  10. I just released my third album, Pt.3. It's sick and has a unique sound to it. You owe it to yourself to give it a shot, and that's not just me being egotistical or trying to hype it up. If you don't like it, that's cool, but I'm going places and imagine how cool you would feel saying "I listened to Punch Cards before she was popular". And you'll never know whether you like it or not until you try it obviously. BTW, my next album is going to be even better than this one, so keep your eyes peeled. Anyway, I really hope you enjoy the album! https://punchcards.bandcamp.com/album/pt-3
  11. Hey, I released a new album today called Indigo Beats. It's my second album and although it's a very varied album, the main styles on it are ambient, techno and drum & bass. There's also some jungle, noise and drill & bass influence on some tracks but saying that doesn't really do the album any justice. If you're interested then give it a listen, you'll get more out of that than reading my description of it lol. I hope you like it!! 12. [bandcamp width=350 height=786 album=612819565 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=7137dc] This is an album I made and I think it's pretty good. I hope you guys enjoy it too!
  13. this is really cool! the main melodies are catchy, the strings sound pretty, and all of the sections flow into each other quite well. the only problem i noticed was that the crash is way too loud (imo). keep up the good work!
