Roland d110 arrived yesterday.
Was bubblewrapped but without a box.
Postman hermes had real fun with it.
Must have dropped from a great height.
The back outputs are fucked, one broke completely.
Guy gave me a full refund.
Found another one also 85 quid, should arrive in good condition.
Also arrived today, roland r8m, roland ddr 30, kawai k1r.

I read an interview with i think it was juan atkins and he started out out with a korg ms 10 and a cassette recorder and he played with it all summer.I keep finding that I'm taking more and more out of my studio and gotten it down to about 4 pieces of gear altogether, laptop included. It feels really dependent on environment, space and necessity. I put some spider plants around my desk and have a laptop-holding arm clamp hold the laptop in the air while using only a korg MS-20, SQ-1, Microverb, MIDI interface all three and a behringer mixer. I'm finding myself more creative the less tactile the experience is for me and fewer user interface things there are. Took me a few years but hitting a bunch of drum pads and manually recording knob changes aint my thing.

Aquaman is two and a half hours long, my arse cannot accept such long movies. So I watched Bumblebee instead. It has all the robots in 80s style cars. 80s music, smiths and pretenders. breakfast club references etc. At least it was better than the Michael Bay stuff. All transformers movies should be set in the 80s. Reminds me of the south park episode awesomeo where cartman pretends to be a robot. Kept singing You’ll be my robot friend to myself.

Yeah the k1r was 75 quid, couldn’t resist at that price. I haven’t got room for the keyboard version. The module I saw for 125 on ebay recently. I need to get my atari st fixed. There’s great editing software for ataris.
I think the d110 drums are unique and not sampled from other machines. The pitch envelope in theory can make bass drums on the synth engine. We’ll see.
