It was nineFly that did it for me. In fact, all of NTS still has my mind blown but a few tracks like nineFly, t1a1, e0 and shimripl casual almost always get my jelly all a quivering.

Now I remember why I didn't like last.fm. They seemed to have great difficulty parsing artists with identical names: https://www.last.fm/music/Darren+Tate Even now, though the Overview description acknowledges there are two Darren Tate's, the site still has the two artists concatenated into one listing. One can only imagine the mess for a band name like 'Satan'. Grump, grump, grumpidy grump.....

I've been familiar with last.fm since that time but never made the site a habit. Always preferred discogs for straight up information and my own catalog for listening. That left last.fm without a purpose, to me at least. I'm all for statistics. Numbers, lists, percentages, graphs, spreadsheets, all fun stuff. Scrobble? Not a clue. As made up words go, it's just odd. As my wife commented when I asked her, "It sounds like boogers".

Man, I'm old. Learned of two new 'words' today. "Emosh" and now "scrobble". I can confidently, grumpily assert that the world needed neither.

Ambient has become one of those many junk terms which are bandied around without any real context. Kinda like calling Sonic Youth 'drone'. A noisy, feedback-y 3 minute alt rock song is not drone.

I just got a google ad, for ae SIGN. Kid you not. I caught it out of the corner of my eye just as I was refreshing a page so was unable to get a screen capture. 'twas a big side bar ad on wunderground.

I strongly suspect all but the uber tender and ultra sensitive get a good laugh from the memes. I see nothing pointed in the SIGN themed memes and I doubt Sean or Rob do either. At the very least they might be inspired to apply judicious application of the Patrick Stewart emoji. Truthfully, what are you seeing in the memes that is other than a lighthearted expression of appreciation coupled with a bit of anticipation?

"Keanu" produces no hits in the Guidelines. watmmanual produces no hits on the forum other than your post. I'm more than happy to be schooled on this subject, (and more than a little intrigued), but you will need to provide a link or some other additional information that I might understand this Keanu/IDM link. Quite frankly, my ears don't hear it.

Yep, that's pretty much a given. I think he tops my list of most hated 'actors'. I >>still<< haven't seen The Matrix because, well, Keanu.
