  1. +1 we're the last of the Mohicans here bro...a dying breed.
  2. lol this is the same CIA that has gone on record saying they were forced to withhold sensitive information from trump because of what a threat to national security he is. creating "bogus" internet persona's to try and somehow undermine the Chinese govt. sounds exactly like some sort of scooby doo kindergartner chewing on crayons low ball shit the CIA would actually feel comfortable letting trump claim as his op. the adults need to let him wear the big boys pants every so often.

    Now Reading

I'm also a fan. I like reading a few "chapters" every so often in between other things I'm reading. he's great at pointing out really obvious stuff most of us probably have a good idea of, but have difficulty articulating about the creative process. it actually inspired me to start recording music again, as opposed to constantly noodling about.
  4. Deep Sky. documentary on the JWST. saw it in IMAX and found it quite emotional. starts off with a history of the project, short interview clips with the scientists who helped make it possible. then it launches into those incredible magical images from the telescope itself, displayed in all the glory of IMAX...I'm just sitting there like
  5. my bad on saying O replacement planning. after hillary went down is what I was thinking. anyway like you said, the lack of young blood in both parties is worrisome. that's why we got who we got right now. 70/80 year olds who both are from generations past. this is not the direction I think the political leaders in this country should be heading. but there are no worthwhile alternatives. old dudes lead to voter turn off and apathy. that is, of course, unless you're a maga cretin, who wants the country to go back to white bread evangelical tent revival segregationist bullshit.
  6. yeah one thing I never quite got was how they ended up with old man joe. he was obv chomping at the bit to jump in the ring, since he's a career politician, Obama's #2, and all that. but ffs...was there no one else semi-competent in the dem sphere ready to step up? I would think the democratic party could have had better O replacement game planning. IMO it's entirely their fault we are at this neck and neck BS with Biden and orange dickwad. that's what is so depressing about all this...and by all this I mean looking at a T comeback. the dems, a.k.a the other party not tied to a racist con man piece of shit, can't get a decent candidate that would actually be able to swing the swing states. fuckin grandpa Joe is a throw back old guy. and a lot of people out there don't want that. so that says to me that anyone still semi youthful in the dem team doesn't want to become US pres, because of how shit show'd the oval office has been reduced to, partly thanks to donald and the current state of things all political... the dems are looking weak. R's are a party of racist ego maniacal insane buffoons. this is what we have to choose from this election. it's like humans just never learn from their mistakes over and over again, and we are getting dumber at this governance shit.
  7. a lot of it stems from judgmental belief systems forced into their heads by their parents since they were kids. once those beliefs are baked in and turned into undeniable truths, it's really hard to ever see things in a different light. and I mean not just these humans in the middle east, but all over. it's been going down the shitter for thousands of years because of humans. a quick browse through history shows how horrible groups of people have been to each other when they don't agree on something. now we have the unfortunate luxury of witnessing it all in real time thanks to internet / phones / media. that's it man. try and spread positivity in your daily interactions and relationships. helps to keep in mind there's a lot of stuff in the world you can't control. a lot of bad out there, this is fact. but you can control your own head space and actions. best to focus on that before trying to throw the weight of the world on your shoulders.
  8. next they ought to ban all those vile heavy metal albums. I mean look at this shit - it's the devil's work!!!!
  9. ah ok, gotcha. that "it." for a sec there I thought you meant the it referring to the destruction of the entire human race. glad we got that sorted.
  10. fingers crossed this does not happen. the last thing anyone needs is him getting more TV time. him being on a televised trial will only gain him more supporters. you'd think it would work oppositely, but logical thinking is persona non grata in the T world.
  11. I've seen you say it's over several times now ITT. please define "it"
  12. we're slowly getting to the part where the real humans start training their German shepherds to sniff out the skynet produced human look alikes
  13. I posted some similar pics awhile back, thought these qualified as interesting things... these are taken from inside of a rail car. reminded me of some weird visuals you'd probably see flashed up on screen at a squarepusher show or somthin. black substance lining the walls and pooled at the bottom is asphalt.
  14. poor Nikki Haley. she's toast - https://www.politico.com/news/2024/02/25/haley-path-nomination-impossible-00143205 she at least came off as sane, which is rare these days in the R party. now the in-house challengers are out of the way, the R's can all hail the orange clown. rally round the king of the con. the shredder of sanity. the reality star guru, who can barely answer a simple question. donnie boy just drifts merrily along, following the dao of some primal snake oil instinct. he accidentally became president. it was done half-jokingly. the result was he pulled off the biggest grift the world has ever seen. can he do it again? will grandpa Joe stroke out before November? will donnie be in jail? lmao! stay tuned! oh yeah. someone should probably change the thread title to 2024 US train wreck / dumpster fire / shit show / clown car / dude I'm so high right now / Jesus fucking christ / resurrection / erection / election
  15. that's when he came to Houston in 1989 https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/shows/houston-matters/2020/02/21/361467/boris-yelstins-1989-visit-to-a-houston-grocery-store-is-now-an-opera/
  16. don't you member? electronic music killed guitar rock in late '90s.
  17. yeah. a lot of immorality in politics throughout the ages. but regarding the mental competency thing I was mentioning, the trump era really did open up the flood gates for legit crazy people to enter into politics. more or less legitimized elected officials getting away with acting like spoiled brat assholes. they used to at least try and hide it before. now they flaunt it, all to try and own the other side. I think if there was a way to weed the crazies out before they even have the chance to run for office, then this would make total sense. but this would also mean the politicians have to start policing themselves. and they know that if there were mental competency tests, or psychological assessments, so many of them would not pass. the age thing too. if 70 years old were the cut off, then bye bye to a lot of them. including Grandpa Joe. they all want to keep hanging on. the man's a walking corpse
  18. this is true. economics are a big part. the unofficial retirement age of 67 doesn't seem to apply as much anymore in the work force. there's also the fact that technological advancements in health care & medicine have kept boomers going mentally and physically more so than previous generations. a lot of folks in their 70's look and act a lot younger than their parents or grandparents generation. but politicians are public servants making decisions that can have massive impacts on the population. and for that I think it is wise to have them retire at a certain point, and not have 90 year olds serving as president or in Congress. I also think there should be mental competency tests implemented for politicians, just the same way they are given to a private sector executive level position. if a person wants to get a job as some executive at a company, they are put through some serious interviews and testing to make sure they aren't going to make stupid decisions that could have major financial impact. but politicians? as we've seen in the past 10-15 years, you can be completely and totally old or insane, and still become a congressman, or president! the founding fathers didn't game plan out that one day humans would all be addicted to internet devices in their hands, feeding their heads with social media bullshit. this IMO has led to the current low brow political shit show we are sadly all too familiar with.
  19. The Americans is pure gold. one of those modern drama shows up there with the best of them, like Breaking Bad or Sopranos. hardly a drop in quality throughout the 6 seasons.
  20. lol wut you probably know that the majority on here are going to vote for him this November, because we have no other fucking choice. the joking on here is not going to sway anyone into voting for the orange shit stain. same with Jon Stewart, or anyone else making fun of the obvious low hanging fruit - that Biden's a pretty old dude to be president. it is factual that once a human passes oh about 80 years old, they begin to decline mentally. it's not just Biden though, it's all the old fuckers in US politics. they are hanging on way too long. this is a legit issue. why can't they step down and pass the torch to the next generation, use their stature and experience as an opportunity to mentor the younger crop?
  21. ha I finally picked up watching Bosch again. I stopped after S1 because it sucked. I recently got through season 2, which I thought was great! I just started S3 and oh no, it seems to have retreated back into the shit quality of S1. I see you say it picks up again in S4. I hope I can make it through to that.
  22. what about penis size? they on the hunt for sweatpants boner *doesn't jot it down*
  23. they prefer smart, confident, witty, friendly, down-to-earth, genuinely positive gay men, over insecure, juvenile, smug, self-assured, slightly depressed straight men, who can't figure out a way to get their mental shit together.
  24. yeah the irony of the whole thing is he claims that the liberal media are a bunch of evil propagandists, when that is in fact exactly what Tucker Carlson is. he is not a legit journalist at all. this whole exercise is a gazillion percent propaganda piece. and I read that western media journalists have all tried to get interviews with Vlad since 2022, and it's a consistent nyet from the Kremlin. but a pro-propagandist puppet like Tucker shows up, and it's no problem! this should tell everyone in the world something. Russian media is the equivalent of Tucker Carlson.
