  1. I love rifts! It's one of my most played albums. I love putting it on shuffle and watching rain. Such a calming and gorgeous album. I own it on cd. Have you heard a pact between strangers outside of rifts though? I'd say it's my favorite album from his pre-r+7 days. Plus, the final track was left off of rifts which is simply CRIMINAL.
  2. To be fair, OPN was one of the first truly experimental artists that I got really really into. Back in I think early 2016 when I discovered replica, I went crazy listening to every album by him. Up to that point I had really only been listening to... Well, not much. Discovering OPN really expanded my musical taste and I think really solidified my love of music. And GoD being my favorite record has alot to do with personal experiences with the album plus it catering towards my interests in terms of sound, visuals, and concepts. But even with all that, I think that calling OPN pretentious is really really stupid. Does he have grand ideas? Sure. Can his music be a bit conceptual? Sure. But he is in no way pretentious. I've actually gotten to speak with the guy once or twice and he's a really nice dude who believes in the music he makes and doesn't think less of people who don't enjoy it. The definition of pretentious is thinking you're superior to someone/something, and that does not fit OPN at all.
  3. Garden of Delete is my favorite piece of music. The vibe of the album+the sounds on it+the universe it inhabits are just so perfect to me. I luv my boy Ezra.
  4. I was really hoping he'd come out of the woodworks and start posting all the crazy shit that I don't even know how he finds like he did with the other opn albums, but it seems like he hasn't checked watmm in forever.
  5. I know all about him! Love his stuff, just thought the comparison was funny. He makes interesting music aswell. https://robertbeatty.bandcamp.com/album/persuasive-barrier The ones that have already been announced are japan exclusive.
  6. OPN has always had excellent art direction, especially post r+7. With opn the sounds and visuals are always on(eohtrix) point (never). This is a fucking rad fact that I never knew. No wonder that label has been able to make soooo many sub-labels.
  7. Also change the thread name please. Idk who started this thread but they did a terrible job LMAO
  8. YEAH UH TOTALLY NOT LISTENING TO THE NEW EP FOR THE FUCKING 5TH TIME OR WHATEVER
  9. It is indeed. It's gonna be out on: ltd yellow vinyl ltd orange vinyl standard vinyl ltd cassette tape cd and various bundles of cd, vinyl, and t-shirts.
  10. Tracklist Pretty sure this is releasing really soon aswell. I'm excited to say the least.
  11. The sounds teased so far in the single and trailer already give me MAJOR age of vibes. This is gonna be Age Of 2: Age Of Magic.
  12. I do admit that I kind of wish he'd go back to those rougher sounds. I'm loving this glossy immaculate sound, but nothing will those that for me.
  13. Even before age of, he had tracks like "returnal" or "It's taking pictures from another place" that are entirely vocally led. And personally I don't mind the change. He's using his voice as another instrument, manipulating and processing it in interesting ways. Nog?
  14. Info on the album: Art for the single This track is gorgeous imo, very very very excited. The list of tracks isn't done either, we at the opn discord are working very hard on uncovering as much info as we can.
  15. He didn't tell anyone they were mcdonalds commercials and the samples were nearly unrecognizable
