  1. Hemlock released some awesome stuff back in the day.
  2. This does nothing for me at all... i don't understand why he seems to be determined to still make everything sound so bland. He used to make cool shit (endtroducing.... and the private press) but he needs to win me over again
  3. I have never been able to get into this guy tbh. His early dubstep works were too skeletal for me and the singer songwriter thing he started doing after his early EPs turned me off completely. I wonder if this is going to change my mind.
  4. https://saluteaut.bandcamp.com/album/peach-remixes
  5. Holy shit there are so many tracks here. Love Speedy J. The first couple of tracks are bangers but I need to be in a certain mood to listen to harsher techno like some of these tunes.
  6. If you'd play any track from Magic OPN or Age Of... on the radio most people would get a stroke. People that say he hasn't been weird in a while need to go back and listen to his albums again because compared to 'normal' popular music his shit has always been weird as fuck. The only thing that would make him less weird is the one time he had the weeknd on a track of his I guess. Anyway, I love age of and magic opn and I return to them quite a lot, more than I thought I was going to. Also love that Warp didnt announce this album 5 months before release (like they do with most releases these days). I wanted to check out the leak so I skimmed through it. Turned it off after a couple of skips because the leak was such bad quality (but the snippets sounded weird alright). 10 days remaining!
  7. AH well I might have come across as a little bit too hostile in my last post. I personally don't really see all of Fred's music as mainstream radio stuff. He produces plenty of UK Garage tinted music and I have never heard UKG on the modern radio at all. He also only has one or two actual mainstream hits. Anyway, to each their own I guess, I would wish a reptile brain as good as mine on ayone lol.
  8. I don't understand the people that hate on someone just because they are mainstream. If you can't enjoy a good accessible banger every now and then I can't image what vibe you give off about your music opinions in real life. Some real "☝" stuff. He isn't like some David guetta type rip off disgusting EDM artist.
  9. Set was amazing. He really tailored his livesets to the Amsterdam crowd with a Dutch influenced remix of rumble. He also introduced some new stuff. Only downside was that he didn't play Turn On The Lights Again..
  10. Need to check this out I didn't really like his last albums but his condensed, iron city and language barrier albums are amazing imo
  11. I love the way it looks personally. I thought the cover art would be just different chess pieces or something, this looks more original. It's by no means the best actress cover art though but that doesn't matter
  12. New Actress album seemingly dropping november 3rd. Exciting news for sure! Pre-order: https://actress.bandcamp.com/album/lxxxviii For anyone that hasn't checked out the single he released a while ago:
  13. Some great additions to the ep have been released.
  14. This sounds cool as hell, way different than his early sound. The cover art is weird in a very good way too. Pleasantly surprised!
  15. Debut album dropping october 20th. Pre-order: https://evianchrist.bandcamp.com/album/revanchist "There isn’t a genre that embodies the intertwining dance between buildup and release more than trance does. Evian Christ has proved himself an expert of such sonic choreography in his decade-plus reign, with his prestigious TranceParty event series alongside several hyped releases for Tri Angle, and production credits ranging from Danny Brown and Kanye West to Malibu and Le1f. New music has been long awaited since Evian's Warp signing in 2015: now he makes his defining statement as an artist with his debut album Revanchist, tearing up his sound and taking trance euphoria to its extremes. To be revanchist means to regain lost territory, but also to exact revenge. As such, Evian's musical expedition is twofold: lush, glossy atmospheres, pursued by razor sharp palettes. The teeming digital biomes upon which Revanchist stakes its claim are set ablaze, as in the full throttle opener 'On Embers'. Guttural sawtooth incisors lock into the track, its mammoth weight lifting to reveal air charged with static, a brief fantasia before the eviscerating club slams descend even harder than before. That splitscreen combination of mysticism and heavy drive continues on 'Yxguden', with pulsating waves of "heavenly vicious ecstasy" augmented by YEAR0001 resident Bladee's glitchy, sugary vocals. Evian brandishes the themes of late 90s/early 00s dance with a particular intensity: angelic choirs situated in cathedral-sized reverberance, stuttering vocals and synth washes recalling jungles and ruins overflowing with mist, and the enigmatic footfalls of giants embedded in apocalyptic beats. In between wildfires of swerving breaks and diamond-cut piano notes, 'Nobody Else' spills with ambience. Vocals are lost in a haze, and synth melodies are dressed in shadowy yet vibrant hues, humming like ghosts wandering the halls that the heavyweight thuds resonate throughout. Revanchist is a masterclass merging of catharsis and viscerality, crystallising the world Evian Christ has built so far."
  16. Never been into this guy's stuff. The singles all sound a bit samey. I like the natural sounding beats he uses though but I don't know if this album will win me over.
