They're great. Bought it yesterday.

I love the flip of that Oaysis 12"

One of my all time faves.

First time I heard it was early 1995 on that same compilation, having already rinsed the CD version of SAW II.

I had some run-ins with him 10+ years ago. He was an islamophobic zionist back then IIRC.

Killer hats on this lad.

Its pretty good, but in the ambient new age jazz flute arena it still falls well short of the gold standard.
-
Perhaps the most ridiculous piece of propaganda yet.
-
Ah, yeah thanks. It was a lot of fun.

It's about creating a community, and the writers played a curatorial role. Their "month in...' series was excellent, I found loads of great stuff there.

Actually, speaking of the Coens, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is great.

I recently read 'Empire of the Summer Moon' about the Comanches, which is pretty great if you're looking for some real life Blood Meridian stuff. https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/7648269 And Bury my Heart and Wounded Knee is a classic for a reason. But nothing will top BM. I suggest reading it again. Samuel Chamberlain's 'My Confession' is a decent substitute, or ofc, the other southern McCarthy books. The Border Trilogy is a good bet. The Crossing is one of his best books, absolutely heartbreaking that one.

Aw man, so sorry. Accommodation in Dublin is a fucking nightmare. Hopefully something comes up for you. Something like this maybe? https://www.booking.com/hotel/ie/private-cosy-studio.en-gb.html?aid=373411&label=city-dublin-OnE0*EeEl3lq7DzvzNOAsgS388389303543%3Apl%3Ata%3Ap1%3Ap2%3Aac%3Aap%3Aneg%3Afi%3Atikwd-33452280%3Alp1007850%3Ali%3Adec%3Adm%3Appccp%3DUmFuZG9tSVYkc2RlIyh9Ybz4KBg0DTFCTn0pIbYiAXw&sid=221949b38a6efbef4f32dbee56456d9d&all_sr_blocks=1088897501_381810148_3_0_0&checkin=2023-10-27&checkout=2023-10-30&dest_id=-1502554&dest_type=city&dist=0&group_adults=3&group_children=0&hapos=5&highlighted_blocks=1088897501_381810148_3_0_0&hpos=5&matching_block_id=1088897501_381810148_3_0_0&no_rooms=1&req_adults=3&req_children=0&room1=A%2CA%2CA&sb_price_type=total&sr_order=popularity&sr_pri_blocks=1088897501_381810148_3_0_0__24000&srepoch=1697203788&srpvid=1ebf5edd47e0053b&type=total&ucfs=1&activeTab=main

Ah yeah, for all Biden's appalling covid policies, he is, at least letting people get the vaccine. I was talking about Ireland. Sorry to offer unsolicited medical advice, the best vaccine is probably whatever one you can get.

lol, wuh? No, thats Sputnik V. Novavax is a US company, their vaccine is a Protein subunit vaccine, since 2021 its pretty much been shown to be as effective, longer lasting and have less side effects than the mRNA vaccines. https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2021/06/novavax-now-best-covid-19-vaccine/619276/ https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2023-07-06-novavax-covid-19-vaccine-second-dose-generates-high-immune-response-young-people I don't think anyone here under the age of 65 will even be allowed to get any vaccine, and the ones they plan on offering are last years bivalent boosters, which are basically shit. If novavax becomes available privately I'll be first in line. If you search twitter you'll find thousands of covid-conscious people trying to find out how to get it.

I haven't got the studies in front of me, but basically it seems to be the most effective against all new variants, and is especially good if you've previously had an mRNA vaccine. Its waiting for FDA approval, but the pattern in the US has been to favour pfizer and Moderna despite strong evidence of Novavax's superiority. https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/novavaxs-updated-covid-vaccine-shows-response-against-eris-variant-2023-08-22/ Oh, and it has less side effects as well.

Cancel it. Wait for Novavax, there is a huge amount of evidence now pointing to it being the best possible option.

I confess, I havent really paid attention to any of his club stuff, Im really taking about his album, which sits somewhere between Eno/Blake/Ian William Craig.
-
He's got a kind of James Blake thing going on, and his stuff is undeniably heartfelt, so much so that it veers into the sentimental.
