    I swear by Merkur 34C DE closed-comb, but I'm still trying out different blades, that's where YMMV. Shaving cream, brush, aftershave, and beard oil from the Body Shop - I like to vary the foam consistency depending on growth length. Hot steam towel twice before foaming to open the pores and soften the hairs (or shave after shower).

    I've used manual razors since I was a teen and would never use an electric one - I have a very specific process when shaving (hot moist towel, foam, wet shave, foam, against the grain, wash, aftershave, beard oil), but I still get nicks and bleeds. I've procrastinated on learning to use a straight razor, but meanwhile I'm using a high-quality single-blade safety razor with changeable/disposable blades. I despise Gillette and their cartridge prices.

    I'm surprised that no-one's mentioned Inkipak's first album, Anomaly - beautiful melodies, rhythms and soundscapes - the CDs are gone, but vinyl will be pressed if it gets 100 pre-orders. Proceeds go to Macmillan through Touched. Highly recommended.

    Something else that comes to mind is the Lithium Project - I've got the original on Clear from 1998, later (2001) released on Hydrogen Dukebox as Passo Fundo. Moments In Neon is the apogee, the guitar solo @ 6 mins is pure bliss - but the whole release is golden. Highly recommended if you haven't been introduced to it. Which brings me to Metamatics' Raytrax, which I played alongside Moments In Neon - and Photek's T'raenon. These tracks are seriously way, way up there for me. Listen. Just listen. But I digress, carry on.

    Sully's Destroyah off Voidsucka has a transition like this, from (broken beat) 4/4 to triplets/sextuplets with the same BPM - too bad the clip is too short to have the return to 4/4. I couldn't find a full version anywhere, but you can hear it from my old dubstep set from 1h38m40s onwards almost in full. It has other polysync tricks, too.
