also, An anime movie have been made out of this, saw it last year, did you see it ? for me It was far to be as good as the books. not really the same scenario. I guess it's tricky trying to do a movie out of this.

I have a .wav file here of the warp30/NTS mix, but can't remember where from, probably soulseek, so probably recorded from the NTS live streaming (so a.wav but not genuine .wav quality)

I'm still on V.8 and happy with it - while using like 2% of the software features - lol
... well actually I just use midi clips and c.c. to send to hardware stuff, that's why. + a small bit of audio loops sometimes, or samples.

but loads of very interesting things in later abelton stuff, might go up for it one day..... maybe.... maybe.

well, had a few listen to the album last days, my first feelings are :
- could be an aim of a "let me show all the things I can do -from guitar to rave, and a resume from my first album style to my last album style, " -and this, quite well done - but it might not flows well as an album... says, compared to Be Up A Hello , wich had a perfetct flow to me. (tough I need more time to get this new one fully , I might be wrong on that, too early to say)
- the jazz-guitar-hero + full-on chords progression / almost abused hard-rock-show style on the second track (enbounce) is really not my cup of tea but I know he will always goes in that style sometime and I'm not angry at him about it
- Wendorlan / Duneray / Akkranen / Domelash are top-notch pusher stuff. like what he did before, but still with a bit of push-forward production skills.
+ Akkranen does have some go plastic vibes for shure.
- Stromcor has that jazz-bass lead but I like more the jazz-bass style than the maximalist-guitar-hero style, and in this track, the bass / jungle melting works well, it got that same felling than some early tracks from hard normal daddy / selection sixteen - but with a faster tempo. actually really good track.
overall, I'm happy with the release.
+ I feel like if someones already likes squarepusher he might likes this album, but for those who dont', they will definitely hate him .... if that makes any sense...

well folks , I was happy to go to AE live on april 7th, had my ticket since a few month, but for a particular reason, I clearly can't make it.
...because, few weeks ago , I got tested THC-positive on a random police car control at 8.A.M while going to work, .... come on cops, I did nothing wrong , just have a spliff the day before..... well okay this could have happened to me in the last twenty years , I know how this works here , but still.... ok I assume it , no worries, got my driving license suspended for 6 month , ok nevermind........ but : now I have a tribunal appointment on april 8th at 8.A.M
.... 350 km from the gig to here without a valid driving license, no friends going there, trains shedule don't match... so probably no ae live for me ....
so, If someone is interested to get a ticket for 7th april (Rennes - France , sold-out )..... I could re-sale mine.

- I particulary like how the [ dancersvideo / ae tracks ] memes combination just brings out the hip-hop ADN of their music upfront - even with the weirder tunes.
- all the "housepets" related memes are fun. quite devoted from a true fan I guess. (don't know what is that housepets comic thing but will have a look, seems fun)
- some memes I just quite don't get the point - but it's because I lack internet / usual memes culture to get them.
- smileys-related ones are awful (or I don't get the point)
- the over-reusd memes with just a bit of a sample when someone (kids or cats or whatever) hit something are really stupid but yet pretty fun .

It's really hard to sum-up in a few worlds but if I come back to my first point, kids being sticked on those kind of apps just tilt-up something wrong to me somehow.
I usually stick on - almost -talking strictly about music in there (watmm), but this subject has got me in recently, and as the title of this thread says, "social media and it effects on our minds and life", so I'm talking about this these days - (watmm is my social media in some ways ha ha ) so this thread (as do others) is really interesting and get me upward. there's lots of topics I read, and even if I not comment back, there's been lots if very interesting readings in there for me.
I never had a facebook, twitter, intagram, tiktok account or whatsoever, ( shoul I ?)but I'm totally okay with people using those apps, I'm not a fucking regressive man or stupid boomer, it's just that I don't need it, I don't ever have a smartphone, but due to that siuation, it's hard to keep in touch and understand what's going on,in all this and that's why I keep on reading this thread and try to understand what's going on. (and also talking with people of course, I'm not sourcing only from watmm of course) - but very interesting posts from you folks all along the way.
- edit : re, about kids, it's all about education and accompaniement, let them use everything, but let me being able to explain them what it is. so let me make the effort of understanding what's going on so I can be a bit objective.

also, french students interviewed admitted having a side-job being hired by tiktok to browse posts, and then report to them some kind of content, upon some pre-defined crtieria, wich was then helping them to censor posts or ban users.

I was already quite disgusted by how much kids - youg kids especially, like, 6 to 12 years old) are stuck on tiktok,
and above all absolutely afraid by how much time they spend watching it.
I watched, few days ago, a report that says that average time-per-day spend watching tiktok stuff for kids was like 3 hours i.i.r.c.(from a french/german tv channel who is quite serious i.m.o. , i can copy url if someone want to check the source of the data )
well, for some reason, I took bus / tramway / walk everyday instead of car in the last weeks, and have observed that every kids are really all stucked on a smartphone with tiktok while travelliing. tiktok on every phone down there.
I often could watch over their shoulder and what I saw is an insane amount of absolutely stupid shorts vids being watched like 3 to 10 seconds,
and then clicking "like" (more often than not) even if they saw 5% of the full vid lenght. you can imagine how they will be fullfilled by shit by the algorythm of the platform furthjer down the way.
quite knew about it already, and was not expecting much more t.b.h, but seeing it daily revealed to me that it's gone really crazy how stupid the content is, and how much time they spend on it. some kids admit they could spend 8 hours on sundays on tiktok (you can check used time on apps in your account or your phone).
like, spending the whole sunday scrolling 10-seconds-tiktok videos in their bedroom. seriously.
I even saw, last saturday, a kid, wich was no more than 5 year old, alone in the stand of the gymnasium, alone with a phone, browsing tiktok while his father was accompanying her older sister to the gymnastics lesson, for 45 minutes even with a parental limitation of the browser or something (I guess (hope) this was activated ), the videos where, ... well can't describe in a few worlds- it was just absolutely stupid, alienating and mentally negative for 5 year old kid.
This is really frightening to be honnest.
