  1. ooh right , my bad, I had the warp 30th / NTS mix in mind, while you're talking about warp 20' - sorry
  2. yeah well , we already have them somehow (tough not yet in lossless format afaik), and I think they're more designed to be presented as a whole mix rather than separate, imo. ........... EDIT ........... ooops sorry I mixed up with warp 30th / NTS
  3. yeah, a hell of a price, but eh, if someone's ready to spend that money, let TDR take that money, dunno, don't mind what's fun about spending that amount of money, is that you don't even know who drew those circles, it's not like you'll buy from a famous artist or whatever : quote from an interview of Ian Anderson : " I worked out, given the formats that we’d been asked to design for – CDs, vinyl, inner sleeves, outer sleeves, boxes, labels, t-shirts, magazine ads, posters, potential backdrops – that we’d have seventy-two opportunities. So I asked the people in the studio to make seventy-two attempts at a perfect circle, some with paintbrushes, some were done with felt tip pens. So whenever you see a circle on one of the different formats, every one of them’s different. Every label’s different, every cover’s different, every different format is different." btw his story about the idea of the overstep's cover is interesting, link below (many of you wattmers spotted it already somewhere I guess) https://warp.net/editorial/reasonable-person-an-interview-with-ian-anderson
  4. was listening to this track this morning. totally love it too, one of my favs from nts since it's been out. yet I have a totally different feeling than yours about what it brings in mind to me. no leprechaun with flutes, more like bewitched tibetan monks creeping in a dark swamp, slowly rising under a bad moon, playing their sacred percs, bells and chimes. with acid snakes lurking around.
  5. this is actually accurate. ...or maybe this : "warm by the fireplace with a good cup of coffee and a big spliff of superskunk "
  6. great thread ! lots of tracks I approve, and bookmarking lots of unknown stuff (thanks dudes !) not much to add that hasn't been posted yet, ...or maybe, of course, pakard by plastikman. .....there's probably two 303 building the main line in this tracks. always wondered if only one or two. 303 is monophonic so I'll say two of them, but it might be only one with overlapping notes due to delay / reverb mixing. I do think there's two devices anyway. ..... it's a masterpiece anyway.
  7. Long time since listening to vsnares, I used to listen to him a lot in the early 2000's my fav was Higgins Ultra Low Track Glue Funk Hits. also, as many people said above, winter in the belly and find candace have that special very dark, death-related ambiance that make them unique. but I know barely 1/3 of his discography so far... I might dive back into it at some point.
  8. if you do this, you keep me knowing, you can go down to Orleans after paris (or next morning) and we could travel together to Rennes on sunday.
  9. Paris , or Rennes ? ..... oh, edit : awnser is in your previous post .
  10. what does the tour t-shirts look like ? that's the blue blur tour visual ?
  11. all those feedbacks about last dublin set are exiting yet I'll hold myself from listening to any bootleg rec from now until I go to the 7th april show, so as to keep it fresh
  12. hello all ! for every one on earth who would go to one of AE live in france (Rennes @ antipode , and Paris @trianon) If somehow I can help anyone anyway for something, let me know !! I'l be on the Rennes gig (7 april 2024). but can also maybe help those going on the Paris show. If someone needs an accomodation trough their way, around 5-9 april 2024 I can offer hospitality in Orleans (center of france, 120 km to Paris, 310 km to Rennes). either at my home, or at some friend's if extra space is needed. and I can take somes in my car for the the Orleans - Rennes run (back and forth) . right now I'm planning to go with one friend with one car , so probably 3 seats dispo, but it could be more friend with more cars since then. dunno yet how and where I'm gonna spend the night over trough 7th and 8th in Rennes, but open to share fees for hotel or rbnb or camping or whatever in there. (won't drive back in the night straight after the show and have no free option yet) All this just a start call, but as we have few month forward to set things up, things can be considered and arranged. we would love to help and meet people around. @d-a-m-o @Nil seems you might go to paris for the trianon show, si vous voulez faire une pause a orléans sur la route , ou dormir ici le samedi soir, hésitez pas . 13. yes it does ! yes they are. Rae really has something special to me also. as Corc. as well drane 2. as well, .. all of the tracks from this LP . (back in the time, LP5 being my introduction to AE btw) in @droid 's recent interview they were saying something about like " then ep5 we were trying to get how song writing works" or something. this resonate with the LP5 as it's got loads of chords combination / melodic works somehow. I liked to to read that from them, because I always thought that LP5 is like Leonard Cohen using casio and nords instead of an acoustic guitar. . .
  14. " Over the stuttering beat come pixelated imitations of gunfire in outer space, a jet engine blasting off, and the ascending notes of the game’s mission accomplished theme. (A snippet of celebratory whirring from the pinball machine Firepower plays in the mix, too.) Instead of puncturing the flow of that addicting rhythm, these samples land like tiny static shocks that jolt outward at unexpected moments, further driving home the magic of James’ original idea for the track. " (quotd from the article)
  15. uh well... I expected way better after drift 1 wich was good
  16. yeah , loved it ! deep one. + nice to have the two men speaking.
  17. I had your comment in mind a few times since I get my ticket for one of the 2024 show, because I first though it will be different of their 2022 set, since when they played in Sydney they started with the 'london B' stuff and then new stuff in the las half, so I thought It would be what we'll get in the next shows. so, when I saw your post, I get like "uh oh, maybe I'll be a bit disapointed if they go back with this 2022 stuff while I would expect some fresher ones." (2022 is still spankling fresh , tho, of course) but then again I think back about it and I 'm shure that I'll be happy with whatever material they they play because : 1- I'm going to the show as to support them. and they have the right to play what they want to. 2- I'll be having good times with friends and meeting other people there. 3- even if I canned some the 2022 digitals releases i'll be happy to hear them live flesh and bones , and LOUD, pitched dark, sharing experience with other people in the crowd. 4- just listened to the Turin set and it's not just "a few tweak" it's more than that, how they can drive their material into different emotion and feelings 5- maybe on top of that the'll be even some newer stuff as a surprise. but nevermind. right now I'm all hyped, juste behaving as i'm going to the show like tommorow but I'll have to wait a few month
  18. got my ticket for Rennes. would enjoy meeting some watmmers up there , if anyone's going.
  19. would very much like a sydney set .
