honestly i think this is my favorite Four Tet album on first listen
though, 16O aside, i heard all of his albums for the first time this month so take it with a grain of salt but yeah idk there is not a single bad moment here

love and respect this guy so much and i understand that that style of music is not his thing but why does he consistently mark the most complex and odd sounding tracks as least favorites?

[I think I fall into the camp of ppl who like his "cheesier" opening tracks (Hello Meow, 4001 / Unreal Square, Stor Eiglass, Oberlove / Hitsonu)
I don't care, they work for me, I'm happy to hear them.]same! 4001 & Hello Meow especially like honestly i think they're (nearly) better than the rest of their respective albums

but at the same time hearing Duneray for the "first time"
(even though it was on the BUAH release party and i had just Completely forgotten)was beyond awesome- 1

ugh lowkey i wish i listened to any of the 2021-2023 live bootlegs that would appear on the internet because hearing the tracks for the first time there (obviously not comparable to seeing it in person with those mind melting visuals) would have made the Bandcamp LP/first listen even more memorable than it already is! oh well

maybe for pre-orders only ? or aviable only for a short period of time ? I bought Be Up from bleep few days after release , and don't have a download option for the NTS mix in my bleep account. pretty shure my nts mix file comes from a soulseek download. ... anyway, nevermind.
awh thats a shame : ( yeah i guess it was for pre-orders only

Warp gave out the NTS Mix in lossless quality for New Year's Eve (Jan 1st for me) to anyone that bought Be Up A Hello on his site/Bleep https://twitter.com/SQUAREPUSHER/status/1212123764324020226?s=20
the BUAH era was quite memorable in terms of its bonus material imo

goddamn the album version of Vortrack is so good! such a dark journey

it is kinda funny how i was disappointed at first that wendorlan sounded very old-school instead of going back to the sounds of DF and Ufa and not only does it turn out to be made in the same system as the former but the one that basically sounds like an outtake of the latter (Holorform) is my least favorite of the entire album including the interludes and calmer tracks
the rest however....... pretty much all ace!!!! Domelash might be another classic honestly holy fucking shit

eh I love Rumble so I'm not all that bothered
not that I care either way honestly, I used to watch the Grammy's but I really do not take them seriously anymore especially after this year's nominations in every category

Really liking this trancey, over the top side of Burial. The harsh techno ending of 'Boy Sent From Above' reminds me of Clark's 'Turning Dragon', which is a huge compliment.
i was already interested in checking out this single once its out and now im even more so

i decided to give Wendorlan another shot after seeing the overwhelming amount of love on here + the RYM comment box for it and yeahhhhhhhhh ok the hype is entirely warranted!!!!!
I still dont think this is as excellent as a track like Drax 2 (which it reminds me the most of) but it is certainly close! I love the structure and the last minute is just as wonderful as I remembered, if not more!

the thread bump reminded me that this album is miles ahead Again from last year for me. Far less annoying while being just as creative, if not more so.
