  1. Obviously keen to demonstrate their pride in the ethnic diversity and racial tolerance of Israel.
  2. Just saw the Israel entry is called "Set Me Free" - oh the irony.
  3. That time Sebastien Tellier repped for France
  4. This is a book on my list to read. it outlines how the Western world uniquely made a switch from Collectivist society to Individualist. It probably has some relevant points.
  5. This way of thinking is not exclusive to Israelis or Jews. It's tribalism. Tribalism is a natural human trait that evolved so that the genetic lineage closest to us is passed on. Inter-cultural prejudice (racism, nationalism, religious bigotry, even things like sports team rivalry, etc) is just this pack mentality in play. People of any nationality, faith, ethnicity, etc express thoughts like these all the time, all over the world. That's why my life motto is, "In your lifetime, meet as many people who are not like you as you can". Pushing yourself to do so breaks down prejudices and preconceptions (edit: this includes well-meaning, but wrong assumptions) , and the more prejudices one has shattered, the more one doubts any other biases they hold.
  6. Interesting thought. What we understand as our collective (I prefer the words 'pack' or 'tribe') are much larger and less intimate now. Previously, the world was far less densely populated, people travelled from home far less, and trade was much more local. The average person would have encountered and known far fewer people, and from far fewer 'packs' as we do today. Now, collectives (tribes/packs) are much larger, anonymous, abstract ideas, based on nationality, religion or other cultural identity. Cooperation on such a scale is much less easy to define, control, or understand, and perhaps on a personal level, feel. https://www.oliverscottcurry.com/ this guy is an anthropologist I follow in Twitter who explores morality and the reason for human kindness from a point of view of evolutionary biology. He has some interesting ideas on this topic.
  7. Americans never realise how fucked up America is because Americans never leave (or even take an interest in anything outside of) America. You live in a bubble yet believe you have moral authority to police the rest of the world. I know Americans. I started school in America. I dearly like some Americans. But on the whole, y'all are fucking batshit crazy. A dangerous mix of ignorant and arrogant. With guns.
  8. just got my first dose of 5G pfz
  9. The facepalm emoji. Winner of debates. Second only to Russian State propaganda.
  10. Really appreciate that, thanks. It's a stunning place. Photography is fairly new to me and I tend to be pretty self critical.
  11. Drink the propaganda bro. Drink it direct from the source. Slurp slurp
  12. The building is not random. Google Grenfell tower I have total faith that your modern Socialist utopia will offer nothing but luxury in accommodation, in contrast to literally all social housing that has come before it.
  13. No, you're right. Public housing standards have vastly improved in modern years. The state always cares deeply about its people and quality of abodes.
  14. I can see it now... Truly, what a utopia You're a visionary!
  15. What does "abolish" mean in real terms?
  16. It's always tickled me, the difference between European and American rave fashion aesthetic.
  17. Generally music that I enjoy dancing to makes me the happiest. 2-steppy garage, jungle, some dubstep are usually my faves.
  18. Thanks man. No just single exposures. I desaturated the blue sky to create that effect. The bright blue detracted from the drama of the image, I thought
  19. Opposite. Ambient has always been such a necessity for me, more so as I've got older.
