got a job with the council as an apprentice software developer but they use all the microsoft powerautomate lowcode/nocode stuff. bit of a letdown for me because im more in to the actual programming side of things. truly a first world problem though as theyve provided me with a brand new laptop and im mostly working from home. ?

I know there are various ways of doing it. Like I know Ceephax obviously does most of his stuff completely live. What other ways does everyone create full songs using their hardware? Do you use sequencers? Control hardware via a DAW like vsnares? I always just end up making repetitive patterns which I fuck about with for a bit and get bored. How do I go from that to actually composing a full track? Cheers for any replies in advance

Not really my first but I'd say my first 'proper' one as it were. I have 3 of the volcas and a behringer td3. Maybe I will end up going for the behringer, but the fact you cant chain patterns really turns me off of the idea.

Been looking at that Behringer recently but it only has a 32 step sequencer which is a bit naff. The SH-01A is more expensive but has polyphony and a 100 step sequencer. You can also power it by batteries which is quite cool -
