  1. I said it for TH, i'll say it again: fans likely build up such expectations that nothing on earth could meet them. Wouldn't be surprised if the next one was all psych rock However BOC is the closest thing i have to religion so i will be blindly ecstatic come what may
  2. Everytime i see anything about her, all i can think of is this comment on the It's Okay To Cry video:
  3. We're normalizing bronys now but i mean FUCK IT UP SOPHIE, GO OFF
  4. Excited and confused to see why Ed Banger and Aphex Twin crossed universes close enough to make that result even come up p.s. Bleep should pay ya'll for being such thorough field testers
  5. Got my record in the mail today and the tracklisting is abridged.. actually seems more coherent this way, focusing on the drummier half of the album
  6. https://special-request.bandcamp.com/album/belief-system 23 tracks that meander between scuffed techno fodder, abstract jungle artillery, and behemoth ambient tones First proper album-like release since Modern Warfare, but much more balanced. Some tracks are direct callbacks to that sound, like Sanctuary, Make It Real, and Brainstorm, but he gets a bit more experimental with Leviathan and Replicant. All flavors of techno here too, with the brooding Catacombs, the over-stimulated Curtain Twitcher, the naive Tiresias, and the aptly-named Scrambled in LS1. The part that personally surprised me was how actually good the ambient stuff is, right from the warm and triumphant opening Chrysalis (which i keep thinking sounds like a reprise of New Seeds) to the warning calls of Transmission. Reckoning sounds straight out of a contemporary action film. In Loving Memory ends the album on a surprisingly human note, despite the overall cold outer shell of the two-hour record You could call the whole thing badly navigated and overly broad in its genres, but i think it's a really impressive piece from Paul Woolford, showcasing masterful ability even sometimes at the expense of coherence Highly recommended
  7. I guess his thread became four pages ?? Anyways i totally get Sophie doing this type of thing. Campy pop has always been in her artillery...this track was practically made for drag show lip syncing. However my favorite of Sophie will always be this type of shit right here: Also did someone say good queer musicians? Hmmmmmm let's see..Casey Spooner, The Black Madonna, Kaytranada, Arca (obviously), Tiga, Patrick Cowley, Kindness...i know i'm missing a bunch. DJ Hell isn't queer himself, but that recent track was directly inspired by Tom of Finland and all that leather beefcake stuff. Also the two singers in The xx are both queer, i just learned that recently
  8. New release and video from Sophie. It's really intimate in just about every sense of the word Tbh i played it like five times in a row on first listen. Is this considered pc music? Also Sophie is officially a lady now so good for her
  9. I just need something to pop up on my phone whenever something is changed on the site. Still having ptsd from missing Tuss vinyl
  10. Yes, that's AWESOME!!! Really Cool of you span!!! More belongings should be shared or given away :) YOU made my night with your Thoughtfulness and all round Goodness :) Lol
  11. Please, don't forget to remind us what the cover looks as well ... Ok what's a good website tracker ya'll, dead serious
  12. Yeah i can understand that, i've slipped up before too. Hey let me know if you need a shelf for that placeholder copy you grabbed :)
  13. Obviously i'm salty cause i missed out, that's understandable, but it guess it's the principle too.. since it was so limited. If you manage to even get ONE, why not let a few other fans get lucky just like you did? Not to invalidate anyone who managed to grab any..it's just, aghhh
  14. A friends friend bragged all over facebook about ordering multiple copies and i can't remember the last time i felt such malice and disdain for a person i don't know lol
  15. Honestly probably just the second season, Asylum. There's actual character arcs, a compelling setting, manageable sideplots, no minimal over dramatization, and a pretty real sense of dread and horror. Same might be said about the fourth season, Freakshow, but that's about it Tbh i totally get why people dont like the series, it can be reeeally dumb at times, but at least its not that Thrones crap lol
  16. In two weeks, i'll be on this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAmTyoE-imA As with anything that decides to go politically-themed...i'm weary, but will still faithfully sit through it (just like the deplorable sixth season)
  17. *insert discourse and speculation regarding release announcement in correlation with eclipse/other celestial events*
  18. There it is, the Diatoms Thesis
