  1. Who the fuck is levantis and where did you guys find out about it... Seriously. I googled that shit i cant find any tunes apart from like 100000000 new age compilations
  2. Alright well aphex actually didnt like xenakis all that much either
  3. Lol. And carl craig is dated because he used corny synths on some of his tracks. You dig? If you dont like hubble you are an idiot Ascending ftw
  4. I love VD Actress is different. They are not comparable, or just a bit Actress has changed music with his past four albums, for many people. I think about music differently. In fact, some of vds stuff might even sound a bit dated now.
  5. Girls s3 I hated this show despite watching it for two seasons, which is far more than I can say for boardwalk which I just flat out hated, or game of thrones which I liked somewhat but felt absolutely no need to actually watch. Girls s3 has improved dramatically in my opinion. It's reached the point where I can almost admit to liking it without feeling like I'm risking my masculinity. It's still a guilty pleasure but the characters have become more sympathetic in some subtle ways... I recommend it
  6. Eh, it's kind of stupid to compare a vaporwave album with tech house minimal ambient Totally different
  7. Why the fuck are Ferraro and blunt so fucking underrated? :) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mJuCOHXhxQk
  8. thats good they give you that deal i guess my fwp: my friends have all turned into lazy bozos living in the suburbs with their parents and they have absolutely no idea how to have fun anymore, like their sense of fun and creativity has just been sucked out of their assholes... in other words i need to find new people to hang out thankfully i'm still in school, the day I have to face the possibility of working on Thanksgiving is the day my "creativity and sense of fun" get sucked out of my asshole
  9. This may be an annoying question, but I'm curious. Do you feel that you had to work and put effort into finishing your music at any time, particularly with incunabula and tri repetae when things were less well accepted? I'm wondering if there is ever tedious work in the creative process.
  10. Inspiration? Any possible ways other than drugs to encourage the positive , adventurous, purely inspired state of mind.
  11. Any recommendations for musicians looking to be "discovered?" In today's world things are different. It seems like something new can be lost. Playing out, knowing people, etc? Somehow posting your music on forums makes you lose credibility, nobody wants you to hand your music directly to them. But the new net labels are often based in rigid trends and fads, or a complete lack of focus or attention paid. For me, finishing an album to professional mastering level is much harder without the knowledge that there is going to be an audience for it once it's done.
  12. Yeah. I loved that movie a ton as a kid. Never sen a one else mention it.
  13. it sounds kind of like a quaristice/untilted outtake the sample is somewhat obvious (i think i hear a guitar) also the vox cuts sound like quaristice and boc its good to where i could see it being legit but tbh realistically im not going to listen to it again if it isnt lol
  14. its a sick track though I'm fairly sure it isn't AE
  15. Waow dud I totally agree before I liked dim, then I stopped getting stoned, now I'm rich
  16. I showed my (richer/younger) bro vids of occulus rift and he ordered one, nice
  17. lol tend to agree, but we're all clutching at straws these days. Oneohtrix Point Never isn't really very good either... Last album to bring my heartrate up close to the old classics was Exai, and even I don't pretend that was exactly on the same level as previous masterworks. I honestly think this is wrong. Both are doing unique things with sound that nobody before them has done. It took me a while to realize. They're forging new ground and in that sense they are brilliant. I might agree that their albums don't excite me in the same way that something like geogaddi does.
  18. i know someoen made vaporwave that was a lot more interesting and better but never gets paid also invented the genre a long time ago seriously fuck this I'm tired of people stealing somebody's ideas. their music is actually good and they understood vaporwave a long time ago. they have always understood vaporwave, inspired by 53 os who were the true inventors bandwagoners always steal the money from inventors by couching original ideas in fancy imagery for retards listen to track 16 to realize who invented this fucking genre that has been stolen by the morons who dont even like music they're hipsters and they want money hail the true inventor http://corncat.bandcamp.com/album/1-34
  19. A lack of social tact doesn't make someone a bad person, they might not know how to be polite but isn't there something good about stating your opinion flat out. I think it is an admirable quality, even if a huge portion of the audience starts to cringe. It all depends I guess. It seems like a logical error to equate that pretentious behavior with a persons being worthy of hate or aggressive personal attacks and criticism. Then again, not everyone has been blessed with logical abilities.
  20. Fish might be a wiener but at least he's not a self entitled journalist prick. I haven't played fez as i can't stand retro throwback stuff but I'm sure it's stressful making games. Sure, the guy should grow up. But maybe some fuckhead journalist should remember his place. Below. I mean, there is little more pathetic than the sight of a critic who has begun to mistake himself for the creator.
  21. Undoubtably. The singularity is no joke even if it doesn't happen the way k says it will.
  22. IGN gave it an 8.8. which to the gamer world looks like a 5/10 I still am not really clear on why the Wii U control is so huge and clunky when games barely make use of what made it that way.
