Thanks. The reason why it sounds so "out there" is because it was all completely made with my own C++ programs. These programs generate tracks on a sample-by-sample basis from scratch using some abstract procedures. I usually start with some kind of idea about what some program could do, then I implement that and build on it until I am relatively satisfied. After that it's all about playing with the parameters until something interesting comes out.
