  1. Man, this music is incredible but that T-shirt is absolutely hideous
  2. Another super obscure one that I tracked down was Penventon, which was only released on the bonus 7" with Chill Out Or Die III! Between stuff like this and those recent Deep Love remixes that were unearthed, I feel like we can never be certain that we've found everything.
  3. I think IOS and digit just won most IDM 2020 by default. Unbelievable work guys
  4. Love this one. Basically a secret Plug track. Indian Giver is another favorite that was America only. Sad it never made it to vinyl.
  5. Ha it's pretty undeniably catchy, if not also extremely cheesy. The original version is actually quite cool I think. Much weirder, Ozzy only (different vocals though), and more of a electro/new wave thing.
  6. Wow, previews sound amazing. A week after Autechre too, what a month.
  7. Toomorrow is very good. I come back to that one a lot. I think as an album I like it better than Lush, but if we're judging on individual tracks, Lush takes it for Kwikwidetrax and Night Night alone.
  8. Madonna and Ozzy together on a house track? Just found out this existed and I'm still a little baffled. Its honestly not that bad either.
  9. I'll turn in my WATMM card for this, but I've actually never listened to Global Communication before. I'm half tempted to blindly buy this and have it be my first real exposure.
  10. It makes me really happy that VHS Head, EOD, and Aleksi Perala are all headlining the New Releases forum right now.
  11. Wonder if it's an intentional nod to Rephlex
  12. Was waiting for some car repairs today and listened to the interview. It was great! Tom is an incredibly intelligent and well spoken guy. I particularly enjoyed him laughing and referring to his music career as "a mess". Seems like he's always just following what interests him and never concerning himself with anyone's expectations. I have to respect that.
  13. Who in their right mind would listen to this quietly?
  14. I had listened to Entain quite a while ago, but for some reason or another it didn't grab me. I've absolutely loved everything I've heard of his since then. Well...The Present Lover might've had the euro house cheese turned up just a *bit* too high for me, but aside from that it's all top notch.
  15. Good timing for me. I just listened to Multila and Vocalcity for the first time last month (And Whistleblower today) The hype is well-earned!
  16. This album is ending up being more divisive than I thought. Also, while I personally love Ultravisitor, I do recognize that's it's probably his more difficult album to get into. One of my friends was recently going through his discography for the first time, and surprisingly said he really enjoyed Ufabulum and Damogen, but was incredibly bored by Ultravisitor.
  17. Looks like digitals are out! Well...official digitals, that is. A little bummed that the vinyl didn't show up today, but I think I have to cave and listen finally.
  18. I'm still holding out, but my record just shipped so hopefully not for much longer!
  19. Hmm, having trouble finding it now. I thought it was a facebook post but it must have been an ad or something. The line was essentially "Pre-order now to get Vicsynth, Nervelevers, and the NTS Mix. More tracks will be added over the next few months."
  20. Warp just posted that more tracks will be added to the Squarepusher site in the coming months.
  21. The Freeform comparison is pretty apt actually, I hadn't thought of that. Similarly, these tracks don't so much develop in a traditional sense ; rather it feels like they shift around and iterate on themselves for a bit and then move on. It's less like listening to an album, and more like touring through a bunch of individual worlds for bits at a time. I think the consistent bpm might be reflective of that intent.
  22. Album is out now and it's great! Very intricate and detailed, as we've come to expect. Sound design is in a similar vein to Popp, but less directly clubby, and without the breathy computer voices over everything. There's a lot of different dynamics throughout - some soft pretty stuff, some very crazy noisy parts, some recognizable instrumentation, some pure digital effects. In general there's a ton going on and I'm sure it'll take a few listens to wrap my head around. I can't even begin to imagine how much work he must put into creating these tracks. But overall, highly recommended, especially if you liked the last one!
