Yes. I’m working on it. Luckily, the majority of the issues are with rampant drag racing, loud parties and catalytic converter theft. Funny, while this was going on, the house behind us had party with a live salsa band that was so loud our windows were rattling. It explains why I had no clue that someone was in my backyard, because I could barely hear myself think. Live salsa and mariachi bands are pretty common in my neighborhood. Last night they only went to about midnight but they usually go to like 3am.

I had 10 fucking cops in my backyard last night looking for some guy who was potentially armed. I had no clue what was going on so I opened my patio door and they yelled “lock it down!”. I was like “what?” And they shouted back “get back inside and lock it down!” Most of the cops left but then 2 cops stayed behind in the rain and waited there for like an hour. Eventually they were leaving and I asked what was going on again and , after I told them I had a toddler sleeping in our back bedroom and was concerned about weapons being discharged, they said they were sending a K-9 unit and to move my kid to another room (luckily I said something… not like they would have let me know). The K-9 unit never came and I was up way too late looking out my windows. Luckily nobody was shot and nothing was damaged. Thanks a lot, pigs.

@iococoi Seriously dude. This is officially my new favorite band. I’ve been listening to them nonstop all morning and it’s all killer no filler. I’m eternally grateful.

Jumped back into the new season of Fargo after taking a break after the second episode. Pretty good but I wish the writers made more of a meal of the black cop. He seems like the most interesting character and actor by far but he has the least amount of screen time and whatever time he has isn’t devoted to developing his own story. Hope that shifts.

Yeah. Definitely somewhat horror-adjacent but not really scary. Homeboy interpretive dancing in the snow didn’t exactly work. re: cgi… not the best move when the very first scene is built on badly executed cgi concept. but Jodie Foster

I watched the first 7 seasons but stopped watching maybe at the beginning of season 8 because after the whole Negan / Glen thing it was just hard to enjoy the same way. Can someone please spoil the last few seasons of TWD and tell me what happened after? Also, I’m assuming it wasn’t worth continuing (it was just feeling like a super cheese fest) after where I dropped out but let me know if I should have kept watching. I guess what it kept feeling like was “the good guys find a new gang of bad guys that they eventually have to go to war with and rinse and repeat… but never mind the zombies in the background”.

MGMT - LOSS OF LIFE [February 23th 2k24]

Not a huge Beck fan but, then again, I actually haven’t heard the majority of his stuff outside his big singles. Midnight Vultures was fun tho. -
Oh dude. How far they’ve fallen.

Agreed. I got the blue vinyl for Christmas and love it. Better than anything else since Congratulations (which I was obsessed with shortly after its release), by far. Amazing that it’s only recently getting a release. I’m having higher hopes for the new full length than I’ve had in a while . I’m happy to say that my content was largely supportive, early on. FWIW, I was a huge of Montreal fan back in the day and saw mgmt open for them at a bar in Brooklyn prior to oracular spectacular. They had “MGMT” spray painted on a bedsheet behind them and were wearing all white and sunglasses and I remember thinking “these kids are trying to be like the new Wham.”

Musical tastes always surprise me. I felt like the new one (nothing to declare) is one of their best ones in ages. Meanwhile, when you die does hardly anything for me at all. Cool video though. -

I 100% agree. The franchise is like an abusive ex that breaks your heart in an unforgivable way and keeps calling, insisting that the've changed but ends up letting you down every time you give it a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th chance. At some point, you realize you just need to get smart and move on, remembering the good times you shared in the early days, and just leave it at that.

He is the master of capturing incredible moments. One of my favorites Herzog moments is the deaf/blind man finding the tree in Land of Silence and Darkness. That movie is incredible.

Her character in Mary Poppins was straight gangsta. “We had the most glorious meeting! Mrs Whitbourne-Allen chained herself to the wheel of the Prime Minister’s carriage! Oh, you should have been there!”
