Haha, I'm in the same boat as you, albeit 4 1/2 tracks ahead in shittier quality.

I respect that. I am certainly buying it regardless. I dont think a 320kbps mp3 rip vs having it on CD would make or break my opinion before it is properly released. When it comes out properly, I will purchase it properly, to the best to which it was intended. If it comes out improperly beforehand, I will listen to it improperly beforehand... within limit however. I probably wouldnt seriously listen to anything below 192. I just feel all this waiting stuff is based on old business models to get more people to buy later. I dunno, I feel like in reality the opposite would work more to their benefit.

When you say "out there," where would that be exactly? How many are out there, do you have a guesstimate? I respect you're holding out until the actual release, just hoping you might throw a bone to those who still plan on buying the album, but would love to hear it now.

According to XLT this has leaked. I'm not seeing anywhere, but its worth mentioning that Warp are giving promos out to friends in addition to people in the industry. If they are not being that judicious in terms of who gets it early, someone should just leak this at this point.

~ism: I have another question for you. We've heard Tankakem, Rale, and WNSN now. In terms of the rest of the songs on the album, how would you rate these? Granted the mix from The Wire is low bit rate, but these songs aren't THAT crazy. I mean, they're ok, but they're like "safe" and kind of minimalist and sort of forgettable. WNSN seems to be the only one of those 3 that comes closest to the crazy Autechre we've come to love. Anyways, are all the songs on Quaristice like these, or are there any completely beat intense, elaborate, and content rich tracks? I'm thinking 777, Pen Expers, Cap.IV, 6IE.CR, V-PROC, Ipacial Section, lera, and shit like that. Stuff that rages and when you hear it, it sounds unlike any songs on older albums (which was the downfall of Untilteduh IMHO.)

Also, just wondering if you can give some insight into the following: -how they are handling the 20 song format on a single disc? is it a "continuous flow" between tracks? -how would you rate this against Untilted? -during the Untilted live tour there is this gorgeous melody that usually comes in around 27-35min into the set. Please tell me you know which one I am talking about and please tell me that is on Quaristice. -hows the rest of the album art?

To be honest, none of us should be entirely sure he actually has the album. Until I hear convincing snippets, full tracks, or scans of the entire packaging, I dont necessarily believe this watermark cop out shit.
