  2. Really looking forward to hearing this, heck of a line up.
  3. All his albums are great, some of his E.Ps are not my cuppa tea though, not so atmospheric. My favourite album of his is Hollow Earth https://ghostbox.greedbag.com/buy/hollow-earth-5/ which is like a more mature developed version of his form IMO. I'm glad that an artist is making some of their best stuff as they progress, as most tend to lose the real magic after time.
  4. Yes! Dropped out of nowhere, and a proper Jake Slazenger album next week as well! We just need an Aphex and BOC album release soon and it really will be a good year for releases.
  5. Looking forward to this! I didn't enjoy the last one with vocals so much, prefer the more focused electronic music he makes, gets more in the zone.
  6. I agree with the general feeling here that this is a step up from Traveller, that was decent IMO but I'm thinking this is top notch after 3 full listens.
  7. Looking forward to giving this a listen. It's great that they are having a half price sale right now, will buy a few things for sure.
  8. Sounds like an interesting release, if it did come with one of the discs being a whole new album would be a real bonus, probably too much to hope for.
  9. Just listening to this for the first time, its great, very moody.
  10. Just gave this another listen, I think it's his most consistant album. It's a nice balance of playfulness and atmosphere. In my top 10 albums of the year list for sure.
  11. I know it's good to have time to digest new stuff but I am certainly ready for more now.
  12. Empowered is one of those tracks that gets under my skin, lovely.
  13. On my third or forth listen to this album, it is growing on me, starting to love it. Seems slower and more layered than his past releases.
  14. It's like trying to get blood from a stone, even when there is a plan to release the old unreleased tracks, it's stretched out over aeons.
  15. I have only just listened to these, this is good stuff, will check out the whole album.
  16. those two are listed there for me Not listed for me, even after refreshing, website is obviously playing up.
  17. It also seems to have more tracks on there that aren't listed but play on the end of albums after the last listed tracks, I got to the end of I Care Becasue You Do and No Care started playing then With My Family etc. So it looks like the other tracks are in the streaming database but not listed to buy yet. This bleep store is great and in line with whta I expected, after the Soundcloud dump and all he has been saying about wanting to release more stuff but conventional record release schedules and formats are so painfully slow and limited, this is a perfect solution and fitting for a prolific artist such as AFX.
  18. The best thing about a bleepstore for Aphex is it will allow them to release much more of his music without having to do full releases and all the limitations and logistics that entails. As he has so much material this is the perfect solution, not that I expect them to put everything on the bleepstore but certainly much more then would otherwise be released. Good times roll on.

    Legowelt

I was going to post a link to that track, it's fantastic, listened to it 7 times already today!
  20. His My Yellow Wise Rug and The 4 Cornered Room albums are real classics, as good as anything, I always wished he kept on doing the ambient techno stuff instead of going with the more straight up techno he carried on with. Will check this out.
  21. I agree, both tracks I've heard off this album are very good, really looking forward to it, sounding promising so far.
  22. I think Random Access Memories is certainly overhyped, its increasingly hard to be objective about it when some of the tracks are played to death and the media are going so over the top with the reviews, its like they're scared not to praise it to the heavens. I think it is a good album (though I am sick of hearing some of the tracks right now), it could do with some editing to make the most of a few of the tracks IMO. I would give it 7/10. The new BOC album is also good, but my criticism so far (after only a few listens) would be that it is too clinical and could do with a bit more grit, and be more out of the ordinary and have more of a mix of elements. I am very glad they have released a new album, I would give it 7/10 as well.
  23. Funki Porcini - On 7.5/10 Luke Slater's 7th Plain - My Yellow Wise Rug 9/10 The Future Sound of London - Lifeforms 9/10
