I even went to age of gig 3 times, they were a bit meh. The garden of delete show at village underground was incredible tho

he toured recently here in Australia and the show was fkn incredible compared to last time I saw him - everything (reworked tracks, incredible stage lighting/visual design) was several tiers better.

I chucked three version of the released track into a spectrum analyser - the leaked track, the bleep actual-320kbit mp3 and flac.  pretty evident the source of the rip was fairly low bitrate.

  2. the leak quality isn't _that_ bad, just sounds like it's been ripped from a streaming service.  sounds on par with spotify level stuff?

it'd be nice if this would hurry bleep up into just releasing it sooner.... i mean do opn fans have sufficient impulse control

  3. Normally with a new release I'm hyped for (and I'm obsessed with OPN) I'll play the shit out of any early singles/songs in advance of the album coming out.  And then subsequently ruin that track in context of the album because I've heard it too much... I still skip Reach For The Dead on BoC's Tomorrow's Harvest for example due to this (and it's a plenty fine track) and how long ago was that released now?  7 years?

I knew this album was coming out but I haven't had ANY time to listen to anything... too busy at work.

Have listened to this now a few times and I'm enjoying it - I'm able to take in the whole thing without any muddled preconceptions of wanting to skip tracks - it's just new OPN.  I'm still undecided whether I like it before but having an unspoiled and more pure listening experience is amazing.  I need to ignore the marketing more...

  4.

That's good to hear because the first one is already in my Steam library :)

Dishonored 2 is a big improvement over 1. Both are good, but some of the levels in 2 are insanely innovative.

the recommendations for Dishonored were great.  finished 1 and the expansions, now onto 2.  is quite an excellent series.

  6. I had no idea people were still using this. The site has been broken for nearly a year, but I thought nobody cared anymore so didn't bother to fix it.

Looking at the access logs there have been hundreds of people trying to log into it over the past few months (and AFX's user tried around 11 months ago)... which surprises me...

I've just fixed the site, it's now working.  Looking at restoring the streaming & waveforms using archive.org mp3's.

  7. Any WATMM'ers want to recommend some good story-driven sci-fi/futuristic/alternative history FPS's to me?  There's a lot I haven't played, f knows where to start.

FPS I've finished in the last year & enjoyed include Wolf 2, both Wolf 1's, Prey, Fallout 4, Doom, Unreal (the original - but finally finished it), Deus Ex: MD and HR, Borderlands 2.

FPS's I started and didn't finish: Watch Dogs 2 (super irritated by characters/story so far), Bioshock Infinite (seemed decent but I probably should finish Bioshock 1 and play Bioshock 2 first).

  8. appears some record stores still have the limited release cards, too. currently in the US for work, dropped past the record store in Philly that apparently had them and they gave me the last two they had - didn't expect them to have any.

agreed this album gets better with every listen too. rly enjoying it.

edit: except Babylon, that track gets skipped every fkn listen
