  3. data: the trailer is just shy of 3m views. methinks your fanbase is going to increase substantially when this is released (and well deserved, too!).
  4. He'll grow on you as the character develops more. Trevor is one of the best video game personalities ever IMHO, very suited to GTA
  5. can anybody who has played both forza 5 & gt6 answer my question? keen to sell the xbox one but hoping gt6 will play as a better sim - that said, my PS3 is ylod'ed :( (just tried reviving it via heatgun method, no-go - was an original 40gb though so i guess it had a good run)
  6. How accurate do the cars drive in GT6 with driver aids turned off? I'm reading it's more "arcadey" than Forza 5, which sounds bizarre.
  7. An xbone just materialized at your doorstep for no reason? haha, no - long story short i'd saved up for a ps4, but didn't pre-order, no launch titles interested me (originally wanted watch_dogs, but delayed until march). morning of ps4 launch, went with a mate who pre-ordered his months before, jokingly said to him "ha ha, if they have a spare ps4, i'll buy one". turns out they did. decided not to get one. later that day (a week after xbox one was released, sold out, and going for insane prices on ebay), was at another retailer promoting xbox one - again, "ha ha, if they have a spare xbox one, i'll buy one". mate said i need to put money where my mouth is, said sure. ... i asked. they had a spare "day one" edition xbox one. oops. i did the same thing with the wii at launch back in 2007 (walked in on launch night with a mate who pre-ordered months in advance and grabbed one). either i'm strangely lucky or pre-ordering is a crock of shit. like i said, forza is dope, but i'm lusting over his ps4... if i had the cash to keep the xbox one i would, but think i'll ebay it soon. and man, driveclub looks insane. launch consoles take a while to come down in price though, don't they?
  8. Forza 5 on Xbone. Not sure why I ended up with an Xbone, but I did at (didn't preorder). Considering selling it, but Forza 5 is pretty dope. Add me: suffixer PSN name is the same, so add me there too, reckon I'll end up with a PS4 at some stage too
  9. started playing FEZ a few days ago. holy crap, why didn't I play it earlier?!
  10. Going through a post-Johnn Sleazy obsession again at the moment, I'll probably work my way backwards through Coil's catalogue again soon. Coincidentally I did this last November too, and they both died in dates in November - strange. Maybe it's just that time of year where my mood reflects this style of music. Such underrated yet powerful works of art, I honestly don't understand why their works remain relatively obscure; even Coil for all of their influence seem to be very unknown.
  11. oh god there's a whole channel full of them haha [youtubehd]sOjh4Wb-MNo[/youtubehd]
  12. up to the last main mission on gta5. my attention is starting to wander to other games, mostly because i don't really want to end the storyline. has been great. can't see myself doing all the other side missions after i end the main mission (what typically happens with me with open world games - fallout 3 was the same despite there being a ton of the world i hadn't explored yet). anybody played the new deus ex: human revolution update? i absolutely loved the shit out of the game on the first playthrough, wondering if it's worth playing it through again. shame watch dogs has been delayed. looks amazing. mostly because it looks like deus ex: hr + gta, admittedly... ;) edit: any wii u recommendations beyond sports club? probably should use the bloody thing more.
  13. dear autechre, you guys have been awesome. if you've got all of these unreleased tracks, how about one for us here before you leave? ;) (now i'm really pushing it...)
  14. Would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses, or one horse-sized duck?
  15. has the demoscene had any influence on your work, particularly generative programming techniques and such?
  16. wow, this topic exploded! no idea if any of this is covered but like heck i'm going back thru 26 pages... Sean and Rob, just wanted to thank you for your Australian tour a few years back - i'm sure there was little commercial gain but it made a lot of us fans very happy. Hope to see you back out here sometime :) You guys are huge on generative music; ever considered releasing an album of puredata patches or something along those lines, rather than prerecorded audio? I recognize the issues with doing so, but it'd probably blow some peoples minds to have that happen.

  18. this post... so much genius. laughed pretty hard at this
  19. you made me spurt coffee out of my nose :<
  20. in all seriousness i'm guessing he got sick of playing business/marketing man and just wants to make music still going to lol about him going back on what he was saying tho
  21. haha what you said modey. i don't mind the track despite the fact reznor has gone completely electronic faux-angry/dark pop, and despite being a frothing-at-the-mouth fanboy as a teenager i've made the assumption he'll never return to his peak of downward spiral/fragile. i'll grab the album. i'm also amused reznor was all "FUCK THOSE RECORD LABEL GUYS" a number of years ago but he's very obviously gone back to major labels now, with no real explanation that obviously worked out real well.
