  1. still yet to receive my pre-order CD from Bleep. figured it'd be sent to arrive on around or a bit after the release date.
  2. uggh i hope he isn't overwriting existing tracks with new ones, that's totally going to fk up the vote tool (it scrapes based on the unique soundcloud id)
  3. i don't know what i just watched.... but vaporwave was just handed a new set of parameters edit: not implying the album is vaporwave, but you watch a bunch of vaporwave artists now incorporate many of these aesthetic elements

  5. here's a fun thought - remember back when the boc/afx fake leaks happened and a bunch of us mused that it'd be pretty hilarious if the artists intentionally released fake leaks to throw us off? Daniel seems like the sort of dude who would actually do something like that and it'd fit right in with the way the ARG was going (fake band). It's also odd he hasn't acknowledged the leak at all given he was vocal as hell when R+7 leaked. I seriously doubt this is the case, but oh man Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
  6. if you use chrome - go to a page with the track you want, but don't play it yet right click - inspect element (anywhere) go to network in the "filter", put in mp3 hit play on the track the track will appear in the list, usually named with random letters and numbers double click on it it'll open in a new window right click on the player > save as
  7. makes sense to do it; most fans _are_ going to download and listen to a legit leak if it exists plus they're squandering sales opportunities by delaying it until the 'official' launch date if the album is already out there...
  8. I'm surprised Bleep/Warp haven't digitally released this yet; this is an excellent release but I'm finding repeated listens is creating some definite fatigue (similar to R+7, unlike some of OPN's earlier albums which I could almost listen to on repeat indefinitely). Certainly will go back to it but it'll probably be well and truly out of something I'll listen to daily by the time it's officially out (and given the potential mastering differences pointed out a few pages back - shame). edit: surprised because I'm sure they've released stuff early when things have been leaked before, haven't they?
  9. i didn't have this pre-ordered (i gave up on pre-ordering anything a while ago), but pre-ordered it the other night. leak probably not all bad news for the numbers
  10. I feel this way, too. Several times on the album it gets to a point where I'm really starting to get into the music, and then it just stops. I get that this is his thing, but can't you hold out bit longer? Like 1:50 in Mutant Standard, or 2:46 in Freaky Eyes. I'm literally almost in tears at those parts, but then it gets cut off. yep agreed entirely! interesting to see the variance too; i'd pick entirely different parts as my favorite bits. guess that's what happens when you've got such diverse sounds within a single song
  11. They're still amazing, just saying it's nice to have a younger dude with a lot of promise in the mix. both ae and opn have expressed love for each other; fkn imagine if they did a release together. holy shizz.
  12. 6 listens in now. this may become my favourite OPN album and i had pretty high expectations for it already
  13. without the leak it would be still distributed everywhere for free, just on the release date. Yeah, I know. It's just.. seems like a lot of people probably had some whole set of promo plans and now that's just back-fired. as shit as this is for everybody involved - I hope Warp learn not to hype up an album this much for 3+ months again edit: that said some of the recent touches were nice, like the MIDI files being released & fans adapting their own versions of it. be a shame if there was more of that sort of stuff planned
  14. this is pretty rad. wasn't a huge fan of 'i bite through it' alone but it works quite well in context of the album
  15. I tried to get into OPN shortly after the R+7 release because I saw you lot (and other friends) ranting about it. I genuinely thought it was pretentious tripe the first few listens and I really, really didn't understand why you guys were heralding it as the next coming of Jesus. then it clicked. amazing all of a sudden. then I purchased his entire back catalog and became absolutely obsessed with a bunch of earlier albums and didn't listen to much else for a bunch of weeks. I don't understand why, but you gotta give it time. some of the tracks are genuinely amazing in a way i only seem to get from a few other artists i can count on one hand but it certainly isn't an immediate thing and I understand the 'what the hell is this crap' point of view entirely.
  16. There have been a few instances where I thought it was pretty obvious that he does, wish I could remember more specifically what they were. i mentioned watmm on the OPN facebook page once and the comment got deleted... twice probably hardly proof tho but really, as if you need it i'd be fairly confident guessing daniel's probably got an account here tho hi dan!
  17. IIRC there are python (programming language) bindings for ableton, so you can do all sorts of crazy things.
  18. like the sound of the new track. not a fan of this ARG rubbish. wake me up when the album is released.
  19. another teaser video: http://thequietus.com/articles/18651-watch-opn-album-teaser damn it, 3 months away. stop teasing us warp
