ALIEN / PROMETHEUS / COVENANT - SPOILERS INBOUND!!
cichlisuite replied to azatoth's topic in General Banter
horror != tension looks like gore for the sake of it. i think watching gore doesn't do anything good for the mind, nor it should be entertainment. go ahead, throw me to the wolves. i guess this is why we tolerate genocides and criminals running this world. and fucking money milkers- 3,860 replies

Would You Pay to Access WATMM In Lieu of Advertisements?
cichlisuite replied to Joyrex's topic in General Banter
yea, i tried, but it still requires paypal login it still requires paypal login. idk, somehow it seems there are numerous online pay intermediaries who just take fees and collect data. fuck that. my bank is more than enough for this. that's my philosophy, anyway. in my heart i'm a dinosaur- 65 replies

this is how i listen to 90% of music. working, drawing, driving, playing strategy games,... so aleksi's music has been a gold mine for me in that regard, idk, i know some musicians might not appreciate this but whatever, it's how i roll

thanks, but no need. I don't use Stripe either. Wasn't there an option to pay with card a couple of years ago?- 65 replies

ALIEN / PROMETHEUS / COVENANT - SPOILERS INBOUND!!
cichlisuite replied to azatoth's topic in General Banter
no alien should ever step on earth in my headcanon. it belongs in space. other planets, sure. but not earth. i think movie authors should explore the xenomorph's origins, but they should never come close to any definitive lore. only theories and some mysterious clues. introducing engineers was a huge mistake imo. no android should be able to understand alien tech and drive their ships. too deus-ex-machina. giger's pyramids and other ancient-looking space stuff of his design: fuck yes. colonial marines and goofy colonial marines: of course. remote old industrial prison with no weapons, and a xeno dog is a grand idea. weyland yutani's psychopats making genetic experiments on uss auriga with some space mercenaries keeping them company is good. but for all that you need really well-crafted story and horror. no predators.- 3,860 replies

it's so cartoon-villain-like something from a bond movie or smthng sorry, obviously i'm ignorant about this, but it seems weird to have a prestigious university, have an oversight board that is secretive. it's not very democratic, and leaves a funny taste to the work 'liberty'.
-
do they really call themselves the corporation and are secretive? lmfao

i thought you were sorry because it was a bad show

Man, am i about to blow my lid right off into the orbit. Ffs these retarded americans, i don't want to sound prejudiced, but their stupidity seems to be exponentially proportional to their confidence. The ideas these people come up with make no sense whatsoever, and the VP is the most incompetent micro-managing interfering asshole imaginable (he is fucking color blind and he lectures me on color theory, i'm not joking), and his side-kick is an ex-playboy, lip-inflated, passive-aggressive hen, bossing around like she's holding the god himself by his balls. I'd love to see them both digging trenches with a rusty shovel so they can experience working just for once in their lives. How these people become vice presidents in a company is beyond any reasonable comprehension and it makes me depressed to think that the entire world is run by such philistine morons. No wonder everything is going to shit. Thank you for your time, and excuse my frustration.

Saw a review of the cybertruck on yt and I have to say I would never own this thing, even if you gave it away for free so many weird quirks that try to be edgy and reinvent stuff i can't stand the all-controls-are-on-touch-screen, even for opening the fucking glove box for pete's sake, wtf?! and build quality looks terrible

the west had proven well in the past that their official narratives concerning their involvement in any conflict in the world was also swayed into propaganda, or constructing reasons (and public opinion) to invade foreign nations. I don't see any difference between the two, to be honest. Can you trust anything that western coalition has to say about both Iraqi invasions and Afghanistan, for instance? I think we can't trust any official narratives for that matter, and that is some heavy shit. Well, at least I don't. I can only, to some extent, trust people that have studied related subjects, been there, studied history of the involved regions, etc.

i think i'm past the option to replace only bad sections if i think long-term. the way this roof was built was wrong from the start. at that time my father opted for this type of roof, but it was still a novelty in our country so no one really knew how to tile it properly. they nailed the tiles directly onto the plywood below instead of making another water-proof layer in-between. where i'm at is that i hope the main support beams are still ok, or i'll have to replace those as well. so, yeah, i just want to replace the whole thing and put clay tiles on instead. something to work for the next 30 years with no problems (with proper maintenance, of course). right? sometimes you have to make sacrifices that redefine your priorities in the big picture
