I'm all of a sudden hyped for Death Loop and it wasn't on my radar at all.
Same boat. Went from mild interest to looking forward to playing it tonight.

I had no idea Returnal would be my game of the year, but so far that's the case. I ran out of stuff to do in that game(that didn't involve like a million hours of grinding), and I'd be all about any DLC if they announced it.

I love fucking with delays in real time. That drum machine packs a punch, as well. Good stuff.

I finally grabbed Hades on Game Pass after hearing so much about it. How long did it take you to manage your first full run?
I want to say around 25 or so, and I just hit 110 runs total. The darkness upgrades and keepsakes help quite a bit. As for powers, I found a lot of success with Athena's 'Divine Dash', which makes you invincible and reflect projectiles while you're dashing. The gameplay itself is really addicting for me, but the game really distinguishes itself in the way it handles storytelling. All these runs later, and I'm still unlocking little plotlines. It makes me wish something like Destiny 2 could handle narrative that way. It keeps the game really interesting for me.

Picked up Hades again: Finished a 20 heat run, but the additional challenge conditions make the game too stressful to continue. Moved on to The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. I'm not typically into adventure games or visual novels, but the Phoenix Wright games really click with me, and this is more of that, so I'm enjoying them.

Lol, is that from Beep Street?
Haha, yea that's the one:
The rest of the track is it's own thing, but it was fun to throw that in the intro.

Can someone recommend a place with cheap shipping to the US?

Got a cool slide guitar sound out of the Alpha Juno:

Really like the bouncing echo effect, as well as the lead monosynth.

That Ghost of Tsushima expansion is pretty great. Longer than most people were suggesting, as well, imo. The main thing I wasn't really into was the
Spoilerintrusive 'Arkham' style hallucinations. In Arkham, it was a special section, but here it's everywhere and gets annoying in a hurry.
Otherwise it's very worth getting if you enjoyed the main game.

I only just learned that Bounds Green was from that era as well. I really enjoyed that one.

Greatly enjoyed that one.

Yeah, same. I must have tried this out at some point, but this time really clicked with me.

Heads up for anyone who pre-ordered the LSD vinyl remaster via Wax Trax. They sent an email notifying of more delays, but are providing bandcamp digital codes to anyone who pre-ordered. You gotta email them to get it. The remaster sounds extremely nice, and is a clear improvement over the original imo.

I think if you liked his take on Blade Runner, you’ll like his take on Dune.
Yea, I loved that one. I'm seeing Dune either way, based on the strength of the other movies of his I've seen(and the book is great). In fact, I went back and watched the trailer for his Blade Runner, and while it still had some trailer bullshit, it seemed more straightforward. I suppose Dune is a big enough that they need to try to appeal as broadly as possible, but yea, trailers these days...
I didn't know about the series, though. It looks interesting. That seems to be maybe becoming a new trend with big movies lately. I wonder how that will pan out.

These days, I feel like I have to try and see through all the bullshit trailer-isms to figure out if the movie will be good, and that it seems to be getting worse. In a perfect world, they would just release a 3-4 minute unedited clip of the movie, and let people make up their own mind to see it. There may very well be a good movie under all that garbage editing/voiceover, but this trailer doesn't do the movie any favors at all.

Really like the sound design on that. Crunchy 'Chiastic Slide' feelings for me.

Liked that one. It may be worth adding some high end. The low passed drums sound lo-fi, but I feel like some crunch could be added.

My first hardware synth was a DSI Mopho desktop, which I sold to pick up a Doepfer Dark Energy. I regretted selling it at the time, but all is well, because I wound up getting the keyboard version a few years later. Now I have a closet full of orphan gear that I'll probably never use again.
