I've never really got Pomme Fritz, I know it got slated on release and I can kinda see why as it seems to meander all over the shop from start to end. Although I do enjoy the stupidity of the last track....

Pomme Fritz is highly underrated imo. It's a full on EP though, with the first track getting you started bang, the next two tracks being the mindfuck parts and then "Bang'er'N Chips" and "Alles Ist Schoen" chilling you out. Just when you think you're safe - "His Immortal Logness" fucks you up all over again.

  2. I dunno why, but this one kind of never hit home for me like Live 93, UF Orb or Adventures....still grand listening though.

and i don't think their earlier stuff sounds dated really at all....

  3. Soccernomics. It's kind of facile in its approach, and I don't think the authors so far have made a very good case for their thesis, but it's kind of interesting anyways. A light read before some heavy stuff which I need to read...

  4. i'm sorry mr. reason, but she is not attractive to me at all, and you're talking to a guy with serious yellow fever. She's just not that attractive for a filipina.

oh an dthe music sounds...mediocre. but it's a 40 second clip so who the fuck knows...

Actually it's a social change that will make the biggest difference by far - having fewer kids.

Of course no one likes anything to be their problem, so they'll just keep squeezing kids out and driving SUVs while they wait for scientists to invent a Star Trek anti-pollution machine.

err not that this has anything to do with anything, but it's hardly the people driving SUVs who are having all the kids.

On the X-Axis select "fertility rate, total (births per woman)"

On the Y-axis select "GDP (current US$)"

    Actually just watch the attachment.

  6. Great band one of the best of all time.

Don't necessarily believe the stuff about them dressing like KKK members.

All their early history is undocumented, and could very easily have been invented by cryptic corporation.

I think my favorite track has to be Santa Dog 84 (the original is damned tough to top though....)

  7. revisiting Desmond Morris' wonderful "The Soccer Tribe" as well Frederick Foer's moderately interesting "How Soccer Explains the World".

On top of that, a stack of books on violence against women. Really light-hearted stuff :trashbear:

  8. blondie - tide is high

siousixie and the banchees - walk like an egyptian

    prince - raspberry beret

LOL at siouxsie and the banshees being associated with "walk like an egyptian" (although the song is atrocious pop).

and raspberry beret is a classic.

  9. along with loads mentioned here:

    Oren Ambarchi

Pete Namlook/Air (not the french band) and his many collabs of which I particularly enjoy 2350 Broadway(Namlook and Tetsu Inoue), fires of ork (Namlook and Geir Jensenn), From Within (Namlook and Richie Hawtin),Shades of Orion(Namlook and Inoue again)..the list goes on and on...

    Global Communication

    Tetsu Inoue

    Uwe Schmidt's ambient stuff

  10. For those that bought the Analord vinyl back in 2005:

If you now buy the 10 Analords that have extra tracks on, thats £35. For that you get 20 previously unreleased tracks - that works out at £1.75 per new track - about 75% more expensive compared to the average track on Bleep these days, but not too bad.

Factor in that you also get access to very high quality versions of 41 of the original analord tracks - like, much higher quality than you're likely to get from recording your own Analord vinyl (unless your some sound engineer or something) then thats a total of 61 high quality WAVS or mp3s for £35 - works out at 57p per track.

    Then factor in this:

    Analord

and it should be an easy decision ; )

Factor in that I've already spent close to $200 on Analord tracks and another 70 doesn't seem all that appealing.

Plus 75% over current market value of tracks is ridiculous.

  11. It's hard for me to understand this Rephlex buttsuck. I am no less a fan of their catalogue but I've had enough of this Aphex buggery. $150+ on 11 records and postage and now $60+ on digital files and some teaser tracks? I want to "support the music I love" if it isn't a fucking shakedown. Whatever, whoever is pirating/hacking this circus, please pm me; I'll help.

what a fucking cunt thing to say. you are really getting fleeced, man. wow. rephlex exists just to fucking put their hand in YOUR pocket. maybe Warner Brothers or Sony will come along and right all those wrongs.:

I think the complaint is that potentially people have already bought some of these tracks twice (analord plus chosen lords) and are now being asked to purchase them again to get access to the unreleased stuff. Nearly £40 is a bit much for a handful of unreleased tracks in a digital download format.

    pretty much what Kakapo said.

I already have the full binder and Chosen Lords, I would love an option just to purchase the unreleased tracks. I think there are 21 new tracks right? I'd pay 10 quid for that.
