  1. I really like that the drums/percussions are mostly stay centered on the album.  It's all in the middle of the field, in-your-face-bitch type of breaks.    Then everything goes surrounding them.

  2. Reminds me that Confield's album artwork (and all the inner album pics too) is a screenshot of a video both of them made (around 0:08 seconds) :

I had an amazing Confield poster where you had a dotted perforated vertical line that could be seperated (or not) in two

  3. 2022 BUMP

With the two year anniversary of the release of Autechre' PLUS+SIGN,  it's now been 2 years with no new materials from either Squarepusher, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin or Autechre.  In fact pretty much nothing happened except a couple of collabs, the Autechre live Helsinki fuckup and what else ???...

No entitlement here, just wishing that the pandemic had created a large volume of new works like for some other musical artists...  We're not getting younger, fellas ! :trashbear::dadjoke:

  4. This is the first year without any studio album by the main 4 artists that make the WATMM forum (AE/AFX/BOC/SQ).  There were some stuff in the form of reissues, remixes, EP's, 12inch vinyls, live and collabs, but no LP.   Same for the other WATMM subfolder artists, only mu-ziq, Clark and Ceephax released a long-play album iirc.

  5. I would switch to Plex if it had a "play random album" feature.  I still use itunes only for that...

I have a large classical music collection, I cannot switch to streaming since it's the worse, most service have no clue how to have multiple conductors and versions (and even worse, when there are multiple recordings by the same conductor throughout the years).  Worse are the auto-uploading where it finds the correct streaming track from your MP3, they often fuck up and play the simplest most bland version of a classical composition you have...

  6. The thing is... it's not about using a tragedy. It's just fake, it's all lies.  That documentary, in the end, it's bullshit and lies, a fucking fake doc, a mockumentary.  If he could finally admit it was all made up, no... a decade later he's still Mr. Brainwash-ing his way into the truth.

But at the same time every artist try to make things mythical if anything. Bob Dylan invented a whole backstory to his life when he started in NYC, saying he played in Bobby Vee's band, that he was a teenager riding the rails and traveled with a circus. Did that change anything in the end?

The BOC brothers not telling they were brothers, creating a lot of weird aura of mystery behind all their creation. And let's not talk about Richard here, we could list a thousand idiosyncrasies.

My point being, does this take out anything from his music? Can it stand alone, and listen to it without the 9/11 gimmick? Or his other stuff, if you never knew about the history, does it change anything?

10 years later and he's still a wanker trying to milk his fake gimmick
