Junkie XL selling off his synth collection
Bob Dylan replied to Rubin Farr's topic in Music Discussion
The guy is doing fucktown more money doing hollywood soundtracks. Average composer gets around a million dollar for a 100 million dollar movie. He doesn't care about money lol -
SIGN is like the period of an artist career when he goes on MTV Unplugged

Read the entire Walking Dead comics, all 193 issues. Good stuff in these days...

WARP only survives because of nostalgia as it positionned itself as the dad-rock label of electronic music.

NASA shirts are popular because there are no copyrights or regulation for selling branded merchandise. It's all public domain, anybody can do a design and sell it. https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2019-07-19/nasa-logo-shirts-swimsuits-everything

It might be 0.25% death for under 50 but it's almost 20% of major pneumonia that needs hospitalisation. So basically 1 out of 5 of you could end up with a fucking Tracheal intubation and ventilator

Amon Tobin - Fear in a Handful of Dust
Bob Dylan replied to ghOsty's topic in New & Upcoming Releases
Well for those who wanted a more jazzy, old school drum&bass style... it's pretty much the opposite : bippyty-bloop-buzz atmospheric soundscapes. There is not one track that is percusive-style. -
Amon Tobin - Fear in a Handful of Dust
Bob Dylan replied to ghOsty's topic in New & Upcoming Releases
Hopefully he will go back to his Jazzy-drum&bass roots instead of the boring Transformers robot sounds of ISAM. -
the dad-rock version of electronic music might be harsh but it is starting to be true. We listen to AFX/AE/BOC/>[] for the same reason some old farts clinged to Zappa or some Grateful dead bootleg back in the days. Or even older geezers listening to Mahler after the war. Amazon did a market research on that, found that a lot of us are maximalists and one of the exec suits approved saying "Those twins from the aphex, they will help us sell more books/other gizmos!"

I just felt a little cheated by all the obvious tropes and wayyyy too much steal from 80's movies. There was a time when I would say "oh come on!" at my telly each 10 minutes. It was still... good?

That was my best book of 2015 (Devil in the White City). Both stories were really amazing.

Tomorrow iRacing.com is finally going to release the Nürburgring, 176 turns laser-scanned with the track precision up to 1cm! Not only that, but they are also releasing the MP4-30 Mercedes Formula 1 from 2015 (with 100% less mechanical problems ha) laser-scanned and 100% realistic F1. Everything else is a game. No track has even been done to such precision.
-
still, and always iRacing. Anybody racing other humans on another platform is just missing what every real-life racecar driver is using (we're talking hundreds of them!). It's still going strong and even growing in membership after almost 7+ years.

I'm reading this 'cause I'll be going to Utah/Arizona this summer, it's beautifully written, I don't think I remember such vivid writing and descriptions of landscape and fauna in a book : Started it because of a previous comment, need to read it before the movie gets released and I only see Jason Seagal as DFW :
-
You know, I should read this next before the movie gets out. I already have seen the trailer and I'm pissed a little bit, although they say it's a good indie flick.

So can someone can fucking link to these things instead of wasting my time trying to record my fucking speakersT????¿
