  1. wat? he's talking about quaristice. he comes from the future. so how did you like the sequel to rushup edge, cet303? I come from a place which gave me a watermarked promo copy of the album. cheers. watermarked promo? lol.
  2. i kind of feel the same way. I think his production skills are top tier, he has an interesting template going but he ruins it with a lot of unnecessary generic elements like R& B vocals. I personally think his music would transcend to a whole new level if he kept it instrumental and did slightly less of the 2-step beats
  3. if going back to 'analogue' gear meant them triggering solenoids and motors to acoustically hit objects im down
  4. so is the running theory that kode 9 is burial ? sorry if its a noob question
  5. its like if he decided to try to go more pop, and start using antares autotune on sampled vocals. If thats sounds appealing to you then youll love .....#2. Easily the most over hyped record ive been aware of in the last 2-3 years. Not particularly bad, but does not live up to the love are you sure that's antares? Sounds a hell of a lot like Ableton pitch envelopes to me... i hear some autotuning going on on one of the songs, doesn't have to be Antares since a lot of programs have Autotune clones now. Its definitely not just a standard granular pitch shifting going on (which is what i believe Abeltons pitch envelopes do).

  7. yes it truely does! and apparently he announced the show and all on That Other Site™ until everybody had to tell himthe myspace page was fake
  8. if burial is kode 9 it would explain why their music is equally bland (ducks)
  9. surprising and honestly disappointing to hear r & b autotuned vocals on a burial album frankly these samples sealed the deal for me
  10. burials kind of cool, too much shuffly and minimalist for me though.

  19. pinch is fucking good. he is playing with Kush from record label records in may. You guys should check out Kush arora, he does some very original dubsteppish stuff that crosses over to other genres like dancehall, dub and bhangra.
  20. i havent visited this thread often enough, has anyone managed to find an alternate sound board recording of the 2001 tour besides the canada one?
  21. Listened to this. Way rad dudes. Not as good quality as Glasgow but still 9/10 if not 9.5/10. How awesome would it be if Ae released a dual disc? One live and one new material. I second the That Other Site™ set. Any have it converted? it would be my dream come true. More electronic artists need to break the mold and start releasing very good live show recordings. Exile and Meat Beat Manifesto did it wonderfully, even though im not a big Exile fan i admired the fact that he released such a raw improvisational followup to his rather straight forward drum and bass release.
