  1. Thanks hahathat, that comment right there should be the end of the discussion. You are dead on.
  2. Nice one, let's see if 'E T' sees that image anytime he listens to a track now! 'E T' I know what you mean, but it does seem pointless to make that a rule. I think it is mind over matter. I've experienced what you describe, sometimes with user descriptions or music videos, but after a listen or two I go back to just hearing the music without those outside influences. I rarely see visuals when listening to music, maybe if my eyes are closed... or if I'm hallucinating
  3. i can now spot the appearance of 'philosophy...' above in one of those lovely pics. i have 'words and music' and 'some computer music'. it was once relatively easy to pick up 'words and music' for about $10 on ebay around six or seven years ago. about that time i sold my 'HAB' e.ps, my green UI and my jake slazenger unreleased 12" thingy. i bought 'philosophy' back then, for about $30 new, unused, sealed etc. nice. Anchio Arch io Son Pittore, thanks for the comment on the collection. I've recently seen 'Words and Music' sell for only $2.99 and $3.04 here in the US on ebay, 1 bid on first, 2 on other, both started at $2.99. There are still some good buys on ebay, the auctions were labeled 'Aphex Twin Promo Words and Music CD' Should have held on to your 'Philosophy' CD for a minute :omg: I know you already know that tho...The Philosophy of Sound and Machine REPHLEX Aphex Twin
  4. Saw lots of older posts with your name of 'nacmat' but recently saw posts by 'w M w' with your same pic, thought you might have changed your name, but now it definitely makes more sense.
  5. so, who are you at xlt? Thanks for removing that! Not signed up on That Other Site™, just mostly browse the topics of interest. I found some useful information/links here on this forum which is why I joined. I remeber seeing your picture recently on xlt, you are 'w M w', right? Gonads and Strife! Gonads in the LIGHTNING, in the LIGHTNING, in the RAIN! Flash » Weeeeeeeee! (Gonads & Strife) Flash » DengDeng (Insanity Test) I remember seeing these on the net (Gonads and Strife) and the above link over 7 years ago online, when Tribes was online shooter to be playing, some pals from in-game sent me the links to these. Ahh, memories...
  6. I have the MPEG of the Warp Motion portion with Polygon Window, it's exactly as Joyrex describes it, early CGI video, it shows some sea-shells floating around what I presume to be the inside of a bigger sea-shell? during song it shows the cover of Artificial Intelligence picture of the room (lamp, records, guy in the chair is smoking a joint) Anyways I found the clip in a .torrent file, I have the VHS as well. It's only about a minute and a half of Polygon Window (maybe less) then it goes right into Richard H. Kirk 'Reality Net' It's about 30 mb. Where should I post it? Nice one Caustic! I still have the file if anybody is interested
  7. I suck  LOL. Sorry all, having problems, at lease Adjective made a mix of it, Aphex style. I'll try to lay off that spacebar next time (I think that's what happened) Any way to remove posts?
  8. LOL! That's great! I do the exact same thing. I'm always telling people something else, usually Pink Floyd (mainly b/c I do listen to a lot of Floyd) but I know what go through there Caustic. Good idea on the WATMM Teaches: electronic music Introductions! Vol. 1  Nice list tbio2007 and Patternoverlap, I agree with the idea of the more mellow tracks with some mix in there. patternoverlap I think your list would definitely be the brighter side of RDJ and easiest to listen to. I know one friend of mine loves 'Milkman' and 'Bucephalus Bouncing Ball' some of his most favorite tracks of all but it's hard to get him to pay much attention to anything else, he just always requests those songs. I'll play the harder fast stuff for my friends who are really into Metal/Hardcore stuff, most of them have heard a few more popular tracks by Aphex Twin

  11. I somehow submitted twice? Sorry, how clumsy of me... :embrassed: I'm just trying to get my number of posts up! j/k nacmat, you can remove my accidental post, right? and maybe this one too. You have my permission
  12. Here is some pics so you can give it up already. [] Just messing nacmat. hahaha good one! nice collection btw Thank you I mostly have only purchased items if they are in Excellent to Mint condition, except the White Label vinyls, you can't be too particular with the rarest of the rare. Hopefully when data input pages are up and running we can get some nice scans/pics for the WATMM Discography section, and this site might stand out more than Discogs or That Other Site™...
  13. I try to reserve certain Aphex tracks when trying to introduce someone to Richard's work. I'll only play RDJ stuff around certain people who I think are more musically open than others. You know more times than not you will get a not so pleasant or non-enthusiastic reaction if you play it to just anyone. When I first started listening to Aphex Twin some of the stuff didn't sit easy with me, weird, but that's what I loved about it, irritably soothing. It always grows on me more and more. Drukqs is a terrific release, some very unique stuff and killer tracks like: Mt Saint Michel mix St Michaels Mount, Meltphace, Afx237 v7 and Ziggomatic v17. I like the 54 Cymru Beats (Agronaut Mix) slightly more than Drukqs Album release. What tracks would anyone here suggest to be good tracks to introduce someone to RDJ? Keep in mind your favorite tracks may not be the most easily accessible tracks to non-listeners of RDJ. I guess it all depends on someone's taste in music as well... I mostly listened to ICBYD and older stuff when I first was into Aphex Twin, then I discovered all the newer stuff much later, and what a real treat that was.

  15. I agree with you Caustic, very good set. Just in the last couple weeks I figured that out as well and was surprised that the song was a few years older than I had thought b/c of ICBYD ('95). It's neat to find that stuff out, like in the Paradinas (µ-Ziq) interview by Joyrex where he says back in '91 when he met Tom Middleton and listened to some of the tapes from Richard that Tom had lying around and first heard Xtal and Polynomial-C. I know Xtal was on SAW 85-92 but I'm sure Polynomial-C had to have at least been created in 91 or earlier, pretty remarkable, that kind of information just heightens my appreciation for RDJ.
  16. Here is some pics so you can give it up already. The last one is personalized for you nacmat... :shade: I'll take the wager of our bet in non-marked unconsecutive bills please. Just messing nacmat. I've read through most of this forum prior to becoming a member, which is why I wanted to join to throw in my 2 cents here and there.
  17. Oh you think that's real funny ? I said make your wager. Stick your money where mouth is...
  18. I'll post some more pics later of mine, the ones shown before are similiar, mine is this copy here that sold on ebay: DJ Sandpaper set on eBay Oct. 08 2007 I can add some more clear, up close pics later CATS I'll say you are definitely a stand out user on this board! Nice work on all your contributions I'll add some random ebay pics of items I won, I can photograph anything else in detail And to anyone who doubts what I say about what I have... well ::
  19. Ahh, you guys are great. I've been reading the forum for some time, so I feel like already know some of you. ESPECIALLY you CAUSTIC. I would gladly show photos of any or all my goodies. I've spent a lot of time and money into them. I think my collection alone might be a good reason to make me an addition. Like I stated before I can provide photos of anything I have, some of the rarer stuff would especially be nice like the Sandpaper set and stuff since it is so hard to find. Thought you guys might want to know about some rare Aphex vinyls up for grabs on eBay while we are talking about collections and such: Search ebay user id: obs.path for tons of records including the following: Aphex Twin - Primavera Sound JAPAN UNOFFICIAL RELEASE http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=180177610387 Aphex Twin - Live At Pukkelpop 02 JAPAN UNOFFICIAL http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180177609780 Aphex Twin - 1992 Tapes JAPAN UNOFFICIAL RELEASE http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=180177609041 ?
