@jermo-405254872: yeah they borrowed mine in order to tune their re-issue to perfection, very lovely people to work with, the memories of the new one put it into another realm as u can store those tuning pots 🙂

Can anyone tell me if the Blackbox cd packaging is the same size as the Cheetah and Collapse ones?

Yes they are the same size, with the CD obviously a bit thicker

  3. Part 2 posted, this is an excellent sound recording.

    quoting the user from reddit:

I ran external stereo mics on a hat with also had battery box for proper power for mics going into a handheld zoom digital recorder it was recorded at 24 bit 96hz wav format and I was located on the rail in the front row center left

The venue had killer sound it was amazing on every level I hadn't seen Richard since 97 Boston!!!

I can also post the opener at some point as well she was amazing

    I dunno, it wasn't there and then it was so... ¯\_༼ ಥ ‿ ಥ ༽_/¯

I thought you were trolling yesterday when you posted and even the pic looked a bit shopped but I got that umbrella to pop up while browsing other parts of the site. It was still sold out of course but it is odd that is was showing up within the feed.

Well I mean anyone can add it to there collection.

But my guess is the person behind the pictures either works at a record store or knows someone who does. From the pictures they posted it looks genuine and real.

yea the art looks pretty impressive

Find it weird those 6 tracks from covid times don't get talked about more...feel like they make a top tier Aphex ep.

Fond memories of rinsing them in round start of lockdown & I still play them loads.

Makes a better ep then collapse IMO (and I don't mean that as a Diss to collapse which is also good)

These tracks can definitely stand on their own, they may have had some appreciation just not widely known probably buried afterthoughts of the Soundcloud flood. After all the Soundcloud tracks uploaded these were the icing on cake of the 4th round of deserts that culminated with us getting some of the latest and greatest

Flashback to Day for Night vinyl:

@WaxenPith - my roomy for the wknd -  messages from the venue as I queue for tickets "they got freaking exclusive afx vinyl" "Can you get me one??" I say

I get in, can't find WakenPath nor rave with him, then meet loads of other wattmers, see copies being used as umbrellas, rage to Aphex first show in years,  and eventually reconnect with waxenpath at the hotel for a bathroom rave and hes got my lovely Houston wax. LEGEND!

Good times, you know I got your back! Now go get me one at the next show and instead of taking it back to the hotel just ship it to the United States lol

Or you could do what I'm gonna go: Just download the flacs when they're out (and continue to be fearful of the now two decade old coins horribly rotting in my mum's attic like some cursed object from Dark Souls)

Yea, chocolate coins are sitting in my mom's basement lol. I really should go check on them and make sure the mice have not found them yet, that would suck bc they are buried in the middle of a bunch of other rare goodies.

  9. Shit, just realized at the end they asked if Aphex Twin could play an anniversary show for them on June 10 2023, glad to see Richard came through for one of his true fans Willam Montgomery, now that is legendary

Wonder if all this activity is also gonna result in some more jokes getting unleashed under the William Montgomery moniker?

That interview where he tells of how even Rich told him to have less scat/slaughterhouse grossouts for the visuals. I was there for that first show and it was indeed insane

I think it really got Weirdcore to step up .... and he did

Ha ha that's right, "lucky" you? I do believe I still have some of those youtube videos saved before they were removed lol.

I had no clue about the story... I apologize...
