Pressing is lush in my opinion
-
Not sure if jazzband:
-
nodezsh is neck and neck with second bad vilbel as probably the most sinister sounding thing they've done
Nodezsh is a track I keep coming back to. That run of 11 is...nodezsh...runrepik...spl9 is just incredible. It's the sound of two guys that have totally mastered their equipment, right at the top of their game imo.
Still can't grasp the wonky drums :/
-
haha in what way could you possibly be limited with that.
I'm missing a (polysynth) keyboard + my monitors like crazy :(
-
Currently limited to this + Macbook, but still plenty of fun:

maybe i'm just being silly, but it's not wrong to think that the big OOOOOOOHHHHHMMMMMMMMM in Strom is the mangled sample from ohm sweet ohm? if not a sample well then obviously a nod. lol pop music obviously starts with kraftwerk for uwe
Isn't it just a timestretched/screwed up sample of him saying "Strom"? The "str-" is masked by a drum hit I think... only heard it the once on Spotify. Gotta get this.

Pretty much exactly how I feel...First impression: Interesting album, like LP5 mashed up with Oversteps and Quaristice. Not the strongest, not the worst. The first half had me completely entranced, but after 1 1 is, it lost my attention almost entirely up until recks on.
Highlights: Jatevee C, bladelores, 1 1 is, recks on. Jatevee C might be one of my favourite Ae tracks yet.

So was this planned or did apple fuck up hardcore?
Really hoping the latter - it's odd that Warp would make this an iTunes exclusive when they have Bleep...
-
Seems like you can buy it... I'm considering whether or not to get it from iTunes now before Warp either tell them to get the buy link down (money well spent) or email out a preorder download link thing...
-
Even the packaging looks like LP5...
-
lol at more Warp emails without any mention of Exai but a shirt that looks almost a bit like the cover kinda.
-
warp sends out all these promos and i've yet to see anyone DO anything legit with them. What's the point of sending them out if the recipients are only allowed to brag about it on twitter?
There's been a small review, as well as that mix, from Failme.

Retosik,
You have been given a warning by Joyrex.
Reason: Copyright Violation
<div class='callout'>
------------------------------
----------------------------------------No links to copyrighted material; they were removed off Norman's site for a reason.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
</div>
:(I dont see how 30-sec low-quality preview songs are copyrightedThey were removed off Norman's site just because they probably put the samples too early, but okay...It's still someone's work - a five second piece of music can still be copyrighted to whoever made it.
-
Fairly sure Bleep are sending out daily newsletters/other "news" emails now.... they aren't usually this frequent right? More teasing from the Warp camp?
-
If it makes you feel better, I wasn't all that into the samples.
I´m not surprised the reviews are shit so far , i think its going to be one of their worst
It really really really didn't sound like that to me from what I heard over at Norman. Think Oversteps tour brutality meets Draft hip-hop-ness. If you like both/either of those then you are going to love this album.
-
Ae returning to lush harmonies hell yes.
-
Keep in mind it's 2xCD, so the wait seems twice as long and our excitement is two-fold
Has anyone considered holding off playing one of the discs for a few months after release or something? Just to give themselves the experience of a second Ae release if none comes ala Quadrange or Move of Ten.
-
feeling it guys...
-
This is just what I've wanted from Ae since Untilted. Hell yes.
-
Holy holy holy omg. Check 24 minutes onwards. Definitely sounds similar to Oversteps tour stuff but a litte stripped back.
-
Mastered by Noel Summerville (as usual?) if anyone was desperate to know.
unauthorised public broadcasting is prohibited!Like any copyright clause - I highly doubt this is aimed towards radio stations or anything if people are worrying.
-
Also, the likelihood of a reference to
?
-
Do you think this is true, that if WARP made the digital version available early, they would cut heavily into their projected earnings on the physical versions?
Perhaps, but I doubt it. Most "casual" Ae listeners would probably go for the digitals either way round, whilst the fans would go for the physicals no matter what.

Was under the impression that there were lossless downloads too, but looking back at the Tip Off email only MP3s are mentioned :(
