  1. Thanks. I gave up and inserted a Youtube-link instead.
  2. This year's most beautiful ambient album so far, if you ask me. For fans of Stars of the Lid, William Basinski, etc. https://ohyung.bandcamp.com/album/imagine-naked-2
  3. What a gorgeous album. I don't usually enjoy this type of music, but this is just so beautifully executed. Perfect music for late night car driving.
  4. Album of the Year for me, so far.
  5. I really dislike Ilian Tapes' greedy pricing policy for digital releases. So I'm going to wait until Bandcamp Day is over before I purchase, so that the label gets as little of my money as possible.
  6. I am saddened to hear that Sophie died in an accident this weekend. https://www.nme.com/news/music/dj-and-producer-sophie-has-died-2868461
  7. For me this is The Album of the Year, by a wide margin. (And I never even liked their previous album Wildflowers...)
  8. New album out on Mute in November.
  9. Film Music 1976 - 2020 gathers together the best bits of Eno’s film and TV scores from the past 44 years. It includes pieces he’s written for films by the likes of David Lynch, Danny Boyle, Peter Jackson, Michelangelo Antonioni, Derek Jarman and Michael Mann along with his BAFTA winning score to Top Boy. Available here on vinyl and CD.
  10. Former Warp artist, maker of some of the best Detroit techno in recent years. If you ask me. Digital release, only available on his Bandcamp page.
  11. This is all very confusing... Is there some list/overview of which of all these tracks are totally new & unreleased, and which ones have appeared in other contexts before this? A few days ago some tracks had "NEW" tags next to their titles, when I viewed the page on my phone, but those tags seem gone now. The "Tracks" tab on the page seems to contain a lot of new stuff, but I can also see single tracks there which don't seem new at all. I'd be grateful if someone could point me to the correct information.
  12. This is so gorgeous it makes time stand still!
  13. Does anyone know if there is a list of all the tracks RDJ uploaded on SC sorted after the dates when they appeared online?
  14. He seems like a deeply troubled individual. I hope he will find some peace of mind soon. Either way, I love the early Orb albums, and don't give a rat's ass about who played what on them.
  15. Out now. Does anybody what the differencce between the limited edition and the regular edition of the CD is?
  16. "Mountains’ music is defined by slow builds, and subtle transformations, textures and melodic lines that evolve in a variety of ways to create grand soundscapes and acutely detailed compositions. For Centralia, the duo of Koen Holtkamp and Brendon Anderegg wrote and recorded in a way that mirrors the pace of their music. While the current trend in experimental music is towards hyper-prolificity, Mountains have taken their time on Centralia, resulting in an album that is as precise as it is boundless. Holtkamp and Anderegg approached the album layer by layer, throughout much of the record combining purely-acoustic recordings with purely-electronic sounds rather than using electronics to manipulate acoustic source material. Guitar, cello, organs, electric piano, and more are seamlessly combined with modular electronics, synthesizers and other sound sources. The result is a fully engrossing listen, always shifting focus between acoustic instruments, processed instruments and electronic sound. Centralia is the most fully realized Mountains album, it encompasses everything Mountains represents, from the analog electronic sound of Air Museum, to the gentle warmth and improvised grandeur of Choral. Mountains are utterly singular in their ability to combine such varied and complex sources into such delicately detailed songs of perceived simple pastoral ambience." Ready for pre-order here. Listen to one of the tracks .
  17. Joy! Apparently my copy was shipped today! I hope it was worth the wait.
