  1. valerian works great for anxiety. eating 3-4g of the stuff is nice too oh, anyone interested in nootropics and brain chemistry stuff, longecity.org forums is an interesting place
  2. i understand the not being able to market yourself well bit i suffer from that. spend so long on the creative aspect i forget about the getting it out there to people aspect. totally cool, love the craft of beautiful things
  3. the only good pcp is the r&s one, mescalinium united, and the blue 12" imo. the rest is a bit too industrial for me
  4. thats pretty amazing guitar, man, i bet you're well proud
  5. ah yeah, black cardamoms are in the biriyani from the gods all over thai so palm sugar is in the cupboard. summer rolls is my fave tbh. soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gud that rendang is great because it has about 15 chillis, uses all whole spices, big bits of cinnamon etc.. and the paste just smells right from the off. making my mouth water. learning about kerasic is cool too, dry frying dessicated coconut just smells the absolute lovingness all about the house, make some fresh so the aroma is there and sprinkle on top for the added effect
  6. Anyone into do it yourself kits and stuff here? Ive had an SSL G4000 built for me and im getting a pultec next, thought as ive got some free time im going to try something myself not really bothered about modular at the moment, its outboard i want so im going to attempt a few 1176 compressors from Hairball Audio http://www.hairballaudio.com/catalog/fet-rackand keep one and sell another and try and build up from there. aim is to end up being able to build kit usually out of my price range & make a bit of money on the side while im at it, bringing joy to friends who want cheaper clones I can solder, but dont even own a multimeter yet. yes im scared of being turned into electro from spiderman
  7. ive lost my notes from my birthday party which was a cooking course in goa We got taught how to make a really good biriyani, and its cooks through the rice and colours it in a gradient until white rice at the top. was good yeah curry-recipes forum, have nailed various onion-based dishes, I just do the standard onion/tomato/oil/cumin bases usually, they turn out 90% right another good site i can recommend is rasamalaysia.com for other eastern goodies. If youve never made rendang daging, do this one at some point. it is heavenly: http://rasamalaysia.com/beef-rendang-recipe-rendang-daging/2/ she has loads of recipes for things i havent tried before, and they are mostly all good i'll try your one with urad dal sometime, what did you make from it?
  8. you can get dell monitors that can turn 90 degrees, so widescreen in the middle and two portrait ones either side, good for code and graphics programs, can have a model humanoid full screen one side, or lines of code. or mesage boards by the looks of things.
  9. Tarka Dhal. SO easy to get perfectly right
  10. I've used pretty much every spice going, but never melon seeds. What do you do with them, dry-roast and grind them up with the rest? Made a curry earlier on and overestimated the spice content, turned out brilliant. Note to future me: double all spice measurements (and I'm normally pretty generous to begin with, maybe just building up a tolerance?). ive just realised its not sesame seeds i need for a korma but white poppy seeds. will have to hunt some out, no,no roasting, leave them clean tasting for a creamy korma base. basically you blitz them all into a paste. you soak the poppy seeds prior to this. Almonds, poppy, cashews, melon seeds. I need to find my notes (havent made a korma for ages, i like hot lower fat curries), this paste gets mixed with cream as well! If you want to step your curry game, go to www.curry-recipes.co.uk and register for the forum there. they know loads about how to replicate BIR-style meals (british indian restaurant)
  11. nah i dont think so. http://www.nymeta.co/north-korea-saturn/ never seen this site before though. seems it has a lot of click bait, maybe moving into satire
  12. true story, ive said this before i think, Julie Burchill is a friend of a friend and used to come in to my bar, would get drunk and spend obscene amounts of money. she gave at least 2 tramps that we know of rolex oyesters. they probably pawned them to someone who thought they were fakes
  13. lol thats cruel. bag full of ancient lire or something
  14. you probably just need some practice. go out with an older woman for a while hmmm so what you're saying is, he should date a mature woman purely for the purpose of learning sex tricks. then dump them so he can go and use the tricks on younger and therefore more attractive women. is that what you mean? your posts are really starting to make you look like a raging misogynist lala. Are you really this bored that you decided to create conflict out of an innocent comment? if someone can't handle a bit of prodding, they shouldn't post things on the internet. Liar, misogynistic, sexist, and now takes it up the bum? whatever next
  15. file this one under magic powers. i can 95% of the time guess which numbers from my security number HSBC are going to ask me when i phone them up. im not joking at all either. not sure how they pipe it into my head before they say it. but if i could bet on it, i would win money
  16. finally getting around to restocking with things since leaving my ex in brighton last year. todays haul, all of the spices known to indiankind. even melon seeds and sesame seeds so i can make an authentic Korma. I was doing a 'buy everything i dont know what it is' from an online chinese place as well, but the cart timed out. le fail it can be such an upheaval moving out with nothing
