ive just bought my first real camera - ive only ever had a powershot a510 whch broke years ago, didnt know what to do with it anyway. just bought a canon 600D, had it 2 weeks, im still such a noob to photography but heres 3 im proud of:

I checked the Farewell To Arms part out, some ridiculously good animation Yeah, the part where the rocket is fired underground was pretty spectacular. And the punchline was funny too didnt even know this existed! nice one.. if you guys havent seen them, the studio 4°C shorts dvd's are brilliant. 'genius party' and 'genius party beyond' < 'dimension bomb' on one of them is excellent

this is a monkey having sex with a dog. im happy with the photo but im gutted i missed the monkey performing forced oral sex on the beach dog, which happened a few minutes before. hes was like those weird african dancers where he was flipping about and having sex upside down and gyrating like a mofo. taken in sri lanka. after this photo the owner tried to charge me 500 rupees for this photo. i think its probably worth about 100 rupees on a different note - my girlfriend wants to take really closeup macro shots of flowers and such - where should i start looking? is there a photographer forum i can ask or a good cheap setup - (2nd hand canon 350D & EF-S 60mm lens?)

my most expensive, cherished, coolest synth has developed a problem where the filter tracking causes the synth to go out of tune. but it sounds really cool i dont know if i should fix it or not also my x0xbox (my main analogue sequencer) needs fixing too but everyone ive asked are too busy

Oh guys, when taking dmt, please do it with someone chilled & knowledgeable. And lie down, close eyes & relax. Having someone shake you because he's a dick which results in your entire existence exploding into pieces != fun

I got roped into using British telecom as it was installed in my bar and i cant ever log in or get passed security as they: spelled my name wrong spelled my email wrong spelled my security question wrong coupled with the fact that you cant even speak to anyone without your account number, which i never have when staff phone me to tell me the internets gone off, and the other fact of them using people with the worst english i have ever heard from someone supposed to be dealing with people who speak english adds up to the most frustrating experience ever. i like indian call centre people - they are really pleasant, polite, well mannered - but not BT. they employ the lowest common denominator when it comes to english language skills. the bar up the road actually give one of their staff AN HOUR OFF every time something goes wrong with their BT because THATS HOW LONG IT TAKES. and I have to phone them now

I have to say every time, house of leaves is incredibly good. Avoid synopsis or reviews , just read the best horror ever.. it's so subtle and a brilliant premise. But avoid all spoilers! Under the dome was good as well

Massive comic/book head here, really like horror & sci-fi The last things I read & liked were: Saga king city Multiple warheads Prophet Eden: it's an endless world! Blame! Ghost in the shell Arise Off the top of my head these lot stand out.. I loved the surrealness of blame! & prophet.. totally cool. Eden has got awesome action King city & multiple warheads,loved the style and saga because it was new, and cool.. and yeah I've been keeping up on it This thread has just made me realise I've never read akira. Or finished nausicaa! Now I know what I'm reading next

just been testing them... they are loud & revealing. they tail off sharply at 30hz which annoys me, coming from a 24hz sub setup (which was a wrong setup) im trying to get used to their flatness
