  1. Really liking this trancey, over the top side of Burial. The harsh techno ending of 'Boy Sent From Above' reminds me of Clark's 'Turning Dragon', which is a huge compliment.
  2. Yee, jazzy, hazy Andrea, a very fine LP indeed.
  3. Ye a very good and crazy producer at the fringes of techno. Hope Rosie is doing well
  4. This most definitely seems like a compilation of good leftovers from different Actress phases, but I think that's why I totally love it. 'Its me' is such an amazing and feelgood tune from Actress, my favourite. Only thing I don't get is all the virus talk, it's a bit annoying honestly. Is it like a reference to the pandemic?
  5. Also: He's done it again, LP one from four is announced - the 'Ardkore' version slaps hard: https://specialrequest187.bandcamp.com/album/what-time-is-love-sessions
  6. This slaps so hard. One of these LPs I could put on and on again after it finishes. Love the way the tracks roll into each other and honestly 'Feel The Same' is one of the best tracks this year for sure, closely followed by 'E-Mosh' and 'Room With A View'. Edit: Someone here from Substance days lol?
  7. Ah haha that is beyond crazy. The USA are pushing Psychedelic Therapy so hard now, but in the worst capitalistic way. Well big suprise...
  8. Bandcamp: 'The Scandal of Time [...] might also be his most advanced, forward-facing work in years.' - SOLD haha And oh my the Scotch Egg collab is so mind-bending:
  9. You guys and gals should be way more enthusiastic about this. Proper stripped down ClarkTM banger versions of the LP somewhere between Totems Flare and Boddy Riddle. I'm reaaally liking this except the ambient ending, which is not bad but just like Clark's film music not for me.
  10. Yeah that would have been the better strategy for sure. Warp seems really desperate, their golden days are definitely over.
  11. This is kind of a stylistic question and I am pretty sure intentional as he is a true master of sound design. 'Blizzards' and 'Providence' is where he lost me, but with 'Crystal Vision' he's got my heart back and these rough workouts are just so much fun. Nathan Fake: "Guiro started out as a laugh and then became something more serious. Further exploration into lo-fi hi-energy electronic music utilising cheap drum sounds and state of the art(?) DSP. This whole EP is something a bit different for me, harder and more playful than Crystal Vision I'd say but still cut from the same cloth."
  12. Nice, new Machinedrum always good and promising cringe photo shoots lol sorry. I liked this a lot: https://machinedrum.bandcamp.com/album/4-trax
  13. Too lazy to open a new thread, but he dropped some fire stuff in the meantime. Reminds me a bit of 'Hard Islands', just modernized and way more stripped down. Edit: Thanks for not implementing BC Links automatically lol https://nathanfake.com/album/guiro-ep
  14. That was supposed to be a poor joke, but a lot of 'esoteric' stuff is indeed more real to me than hard science. Anyway who cares - I just want to make sure not to offend anyone

    05-10

Just came here to say something flipped and I suddenly like this way more than Body Riddle though being pretty underwhelmed at first listens except for 'Dusk Raid'. Wtf?
  16. Lol the cat story. Was the cat like famous and had an Instagram account or how the heck did Heckman notice? Also this LP is pretty ace like most of Tim's output.
  17. Thanks, this remix really got me hooked and out of my sudden love-hate crush on this guy, which I totally slept on, I'm totally in love with this LP. Sure it's designed for the techno kiddies and pure cringe but that's the point of it lol. I just can't stop singing: Free falling, free free falling. Like the bastard son of Hudson Mohawke and Southstar hi hi. What is Rustie up to by the way?
  18. Hope this hints to a full oldschool flavoured Lone LP.
  19. Yeah, this is like Lee Gamble's take on future folk.
  20. Hot take: Music for techno grandpas to sip wine to. Similiar to David Gilmour's awful comfortably numb output behaves to early Pink Floyd. The Prodigy kept ahead of their game way better. Well, am I making any sense?
  21. Oh my, apart from 'luxury sonics' - when is the Tim Hecker collab coming, lol - this is the best material from Actress in ages. Totally lost interest around Karma & Desire - dude, you're not Andy Stott hihi.
