  1. Pixelives - is there anything on there that is close to the straight up heaviness of say the untilted/quaristice tour intros? Still kills me that nothing from those first 15 mins of the Quaristice tour ever materialised on a studio release :(
  2. Well this is it, i agree there. On the first listen, i was fucking tired of the string sounds by that stage.....really tired. But after going back to it and revisiting certain tracks, i realised how much i liked the track, some beautiful progressions in it.
  3. Have to say, I'm really digging Krylon at the mo. Don't really get why people feel it's "noodly"....i mean, it is, but no more than about 75% of the tracks on the album.
  4. hear hear The majority of Alex Grey's stuff is quite gaudy in the first place, they should really tread some new terrain on the next release....(musically as well, lol)
  5. http://clonesound.blogspot.com/2010/01/initial-reflections-autechre-oversteps.html "There are tracks here with the kind of ambient techno melodies that have scarce been present on an Autechre album since 1995's Tri Repetae." SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!
  6. Definitely sounds fake to me....not bad stuff, but defo not convinced
  7. Just read this article, seems that this chap has heard the album? http://www.self-titledmag.com/home/2010/01/13/autechre-reveal-new-oversteps-record-get-their-23-year-career-broken-down-into-1888-words-by-one-of-britains-most-notorious-critics/ "The extraordinary revolution of their music evolves from album to album. There are changes and no changes as one named and numbered collection becomes another, and eventually, once Autechre are done, no more, over and out, it will not necessarily be obvious in which order their music was produced and released, even considering the moves across and inside rhythm, texture and s( )pace they’ve made as they withdrew further and further from any kind of obedient dance stream, getting, so to speak, stranger and stranger, and yet more and more themselves. The pure depths and serial surfaces played, placed and projected during their truly astonishing new collection Oversteps (WarpCD210) certainly reminds me of their earlier music, repeats/reforms some ideas, echoes specific loops, absences and grains, reprises calculations, develops various moods, connects similar stresses and symptoms, perfects certain systems, but at the same time bravely invents new possibilities, resist bad habits, penetrates new uncontaminated areas, and demonstrates that . . ." hmmm

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HciB3SMwGqU Have to say, on first listen, i thought 3:58 was verrrrry cheeky of bibio.
  9. Ism, you are a true legend. Simple as ;)
  10. Jesus christ!.....Please upload it somewhere!!!
  11. Really want to get "Across Uneven Terrain", their track on that is fantastic.
  12. Had checked the track out on Bleep and thought "hmmph, see ya's later". Downloaded it today and listened to it in it's entirety while painting earlier. Awesome. Listening to it again now and just about to hit the hay. Even awesomer. Incredible atmosphere off of it, vast and timeless. Beautiful!
  13. So the distortion on the 1st kick is deliberate? Likewise, i thought it was just my laptop speakers. Not sure if i dig it.....hmm.
  14. how so? just muckin around
  15. I dunno, it's hard to put words to......I suppose it's just kinda like listening to it in a "this is what has lead up to quaristice" way as opposed to a "this is the sound of ae right now" way. Also I suppose it's just that aspects of those albums that make it differ from the sound of quaristice are more apparent. Liking the new album a lot. Went for a late night walk around the estate at about midnight last night listening to "paralel suns"......just awe inspiring.
  16. I know what you mean man, I've listened to the last couple of albums differently since Quaristice.
  17. Anyone get a tiny vibe of tilapia off of The PLC?
  18. Only listened to a few tracks so far. Altibzz blew me away.........
  19. Are you talking about that strange looped melody over the stuttered bassy beat that they open with? > If there is a tune similiar to that, i'll frickin spazz out.... Not to be lame, but I don't wanna listen to bits of it yet and want to wait for the full release...
  20. Ok....is it this bit> (wait a bit for the recognisable melody) this bit> ....or this bit?
  21. Yeah, but the 38 - 39 min mark in geneva is unbelievable and about 3 parts earlier on the hemsby set.....hmmm.
  22. which untilted set though?
  23. Any of the live material materialising? What album/release so far would this be similiar to?
